Pyramid arena is definately different , 2 straight towers in front of pyramid and plenty of more standard curved stacks

they are the lighting towers. guess thats what they are building on the floor at the moment, the platforms that go up the towers

Looks like 10 instead of 8, good spot. Other stage looks to have more too.

Sooooo pretty this morning!

Looking at the extent of the woodchip in the foreground, that's clearly protecting the ground from vehicle damage during the build.  Where we usually camp in front of the Pyramid has always been grassy.  Looking at this, it's covered in woodchip.  Way further back than previous years.

The festival was earlier though, check 7th June 23 for a comparison. Broadly the same I'd say.

Yeah.  Broadly similar.  And shows my unreliable memory was actually right about the extend of woodchipping.

Think it's really smart myself - its not like they can't afford to do it. Even if it doesn't really particularly badly it's all bases covered.

Agreed.  But then I am a qualified Risk Manager, so I would.

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
    • Glad I’ve still got it booked off for my 50th
