Grass is being cut for the park stage the ribbon tower and also the bbc studio.

Think I’ll sneak up and start queuing for the ribbon tower . Everytime we have tried to climb it the queues have been too long.😊😉

Try Wed after fireworks think we queued for 20 mins max although time maybe a little out as we were having such fun post Efest meet

Ribbon Tower has been on my "to do" list for every Glastonbury since 2017, but never got around to it until last year. I went up there around 10am on the Friday morning and the queue was only about 5 minutes long.

Yes, definitely going to pick our time better this year.

Try 6am on your way back to camp from the SEC! There's no wait at all to get up there and the poor stewards like a bit of company! I've done it a couple of times on glorious mornings, and the experience from the top, with clear views and the chaos of the festival just managing an hour or two's peace, is magical.

I only see that hour of the day if my bladder is bursting 🙂

Careful, you’re at risk of triggering the type who’re convinced they’re the only ones doing the festival correctly!

Not checked for a few days? I’d call that a dereliction of duty.
😊😉

at the moment there’s a line of vehicles parked at the entrance to the stone circle field.

Another beautiful morning! Keeping an eye on the area up close to the stone circle. Isn’t that where we get the first indications that the fence is going up. At least the first area that’s in view of the camera?

Yes usually

Hope they don’t put a load of wood chip down like last year.

It wasn’t woodchp as I understand it normally is. Some of it was pretty big!
Took a bit home as a souvenir (I know that’s sad} and keep it in our garden. Here it is next to a pound coin for reference.

    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
    • I was having a tired day, my apologies 😂
    • I was there with Oxfam too! I got earlies so it was probably me who registered you on arrival 😀
    • Slightly unexpected, but Shambala is discounted on TfG.   Works out at about £215 after discount which is about a third off.
