I’m guessing it’s dependant on planning permission then ? :)

Haha bloody double posts!

I still can't see the application on the mendip planning portal yet.  I see the CoOp planning doesn't have a great set of supporting comments nor a date to make the decision on it yet the expiry date is set for this weds.

The lady's being undressed.

Just came here to post the same thing.

I'm waiting for her to be completely undressed, and the pier folk to disappear before I head to the site for a Sunday afternoon stroll, probably in September.

What odds a gold frock for next year ? :)

My guess is that it'll be done by illumination at night rather than physically changing the skin.

But I hope you're right!

That will mean coldplay though :)

CM will be there anyway...

I think it's too soon... even by their standards!

So now it’s the long months of watching the seasons change, the autumn leaves falling,  the winter frosts and the first signs of spring, the summer finally arriving and the pyramid being dressed again!

Fear not the pier team will still be there in January.

Looking at the folks stood around the front of it...I wonder if they have the same issues as us when putting our tents away

"No, it folds this way...you walk over there and stay there...put your foot on it and hold it down so it doesn't blow away....no, its the left corner first then it folds over to the right.... we'll never get it back in the bag if you do it that way!....."

At least they don't have poles to worry about! :D :D

they must have some size of back garden to hang it out to dry and brush out the dead insects, dust etc when they get home before folding it and putting it in the loft.

    • I really like the Cheap Thrills! I saw them at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester in January at one of Chris Hawkins' "Awesome Friends" nights (which i think is why I even got tickets as it wasn't listed as a Cheap Thrills show!). Very good live and some great songs. I would've gone Saturday if I'd planned ahead!
    • They also seem to be in a mission to break the US with their new major label and this latest LP   Mid afternoon, live streamed on Disney+ is arguably a much bigger gig than Kendal Calling, if they had to skip one
    • This is massively exciting. I've been curious to who will be provide vocals for their live show and this is mega!
    • Seems to be getting reported as his only headline show in UK, I would say he's probably out BST now but can be on the Sunday teatime glasto slot or something
