I thought the same but not sure that is the fence as it's not there now.

Weird, you're right. What on earth were those things then?

They're definitely going to start the fence soon - they've been working on the perimeter road above Flagtopia for a few days now.

Looking at the old pics it starts coming round from the right at around 20th May.  I assume the setup is carried out using the same programme each year as they must've perfected it by now.

Not quite. These pictures will probably explain it better than I can in words:

Is it too soon to worry about them doing too much work while the ground is wet?  I'm excited to see things going up but also look at the heavy machinery needed for what they're doing and think maybe it could wait til friday when it's dry!  I guess if the weather was rubbish from now til June 22nd I'd rather they get on with it asap...

Yes, much too early. Remember how the ground dried up over the weekend in 2005? I'd say that's only a concern in the week before and by then they have virtually no choice.

    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
