For the reason of that clash it's very unlikely. They both share the same crowd for a lot of people.

I am going to stick £20 on them I think. They are back in the studio in April apparently so next year's festival would come at the right time.

Not really, the Stones were already doing the occasional music festival at the time they were booked to do Glasto. So not really a coup. As far as I can tell, U2 hadn't played a music festival before, and haven't since? I am probably wrong though!

Last I heard was Dave was interested in the slightest.  But that was last year.

I'm pretty sure U2 played festivals back in the early 80s, they were booked for Glastonbury once but didn't play for some reason.

So what do you guys reckon about the final pyramid headliner announcement? Will it come with the poster release, or sooner?

From what Michael and Emily said in that interview at the NME Awards, it looks like we may have all we're getting for now, but you never know with them!

And the fact that the announcement tonight came at 5:12pm makes me wonder if it really was planned for tonight, or it was a last minute decision for Muse to self-confirm this eve.

Muse aren't dull, even though their latest music has been shite. Don't think I will see them unless they play their old stuff/good songs.

Here is to hoping for someone good to clash. My comment was more aimed at the doom and gloom people.

Yeah, I agree, they're 3 of the biggest acts in the world, any festival organiser would dream of that. It's just a bit predictable, that's my problem with it. No risk taking there.

Lol I hate Muse but not really crying at the fact they're headlining. There will be plenty more to see. And it's not like it wasn't obvious it was going to be them. 

I still think the final headliner will be a little surprise. Don't have anyone in mind but it's just a gut feeling I have . I don't like Radiohead or Adele either but if they're announced I still won't throw my toys out of the pram like some of you are.

People might not like Muse, Adele and Coldplay but I'd suggest there's not another UK festival that could get those 3. They are huge acts and only Glastonbury can get them. The rest couldn't afford them.
