A horrific metal band

Fairly similar act to Coldplay, no idea why they'd clashed the two.

Now I'm confused!  Will not bother to check them out on spotify.  I'll be in the acoustic tent...

I like to think that I'm fairly up to date, so when I've NEVER heard of a band it hurts a bit...

Am I the only person who had never heard of Bring Me the Horizon until they were mentioned on this forum??

What are they?? (in a metaphysical sense)

They were a shitty deathcore/screamo band until they realised arena pop rock is more profitable. Lead singer enjoys neck tattoos, Coldplay and pissing on teenagers.

Radiohead Friday is still on. They were never down for Saturday.

This is my hope, but with Adele now seemingly nailed on its edging closer and closer to the months old Muse, Adele, Coldplay trio. Muse still seems like an oddity but their presence is all too looming

knock yourself out

I can't believe I just clicked on that. The singer seems kind of angry and he's shouting about going into battle.

In fact that is utterly terrible. No rhythm and no melody, just head banging crap.

Pretty gutted about this, I didn't think secret sets were allowed on the scale of radiohead any more.

Just unsure where they would play

They couldn't do Other opener slot, that'd be abysmal. Maybe secret Park headliner slot doing their new album in full.

Those kid of slots were rid of because they caused crowd issues, Radiohead being one of the main offenders. I doubt it'll happen again

eithway, Muse, Adele Coldplay isn't a terrible trio - would of preferred Radiohead instead of adele

coldplay have played more recently than muse, so coldplay is the more senseless booking surely.

But Muse would be the first headliner in some time to break the 'first summer of touring an album' thing that Glastonbury seems to stick to, so them coming back on the second summer of touring a shite album is a bit odd

Its different during the day to having a headline spot. During the day at like 4pm of course everyone gonna want to see Radiohead but if they headline a stage on Saturday most people would be at Adele to wonder who the secret act is on Park or wherever. West Holts probably more realistic cause its got a larger space.

I think we have to accept that all patterns and "rules" are out the window these days!

They sold out three nights at the 02, so I'm guessing outside of the dad rock demographic that seems to inhabit the Headliner thread I'm guessing they are fairly popular.

To be fair they didn't really tour the UK with it, the "Drones tour" over here is April this year, apart from Download and Radio 1 Big Weekend, and a few smaller pre-album shows last march (3 months before the album) they've been mainly doing europe and america, so you can kind of make the case that this is the year of the album tour here

I have to disagree stongly, it is a terrible trio. Truly gut wrenchingly abysmal.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.

    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
