I will bet a few pints of cold Brothers that it's a band that would struggle to sell out an arena at this point in their careers even though they are a well known name.

I agree on that, but you're just crossing the line on silliness.

2013 was supposed to be an Oasis reunion, but Noel got w*nkered in the SE corner on Thursday night and ended up not showing up so Liam had to improvise. 2014 was supposed to be Prince but he got cross because the Michael couldn't bring him a camel at 2am in the SE corner so the Kaisers had to be drafted in. This year Michael has pledged to make sure that zombie Kurt doesn't get in the SE corner, he's having a quiet night in the Greenfields so he can be up early for the Nirvana secret slot.

I believed you up until the zombie bit lol

We all know how this works now, we'll build it up to be something brilliant. Then the internet will discover on the Wednesday/Thursday that it's something god awful like the Fratellis or the Kooks. Because I'll have no internet at the fest from Weds onwards, I'll unknowingly attend a Fratellis/Kooks secret set. Happened with Beady Eye and Kaiser Chiefs, and I fully imagine 2015 will be the same.

Anyone got any clue on who will be opening up on Friday morning yet?

Kaiser Chiefs last year were average, but did enjoy being woken up by Liam Gallagher swearing a lot and belting out some Oasis classics in 2013.

Saw that Bastille were tweeting yesterday about being excited about going as punters, maybe they'll bring their guitars and take this slot?

Sweet Jesus don't let it be them!!!

Libertines or Franz Ferdinand are my guesses at the moment. Not a Kaiser Chiefs fan but those upbeat indie-pop numbers are what that slot need.

Franz Ferdinand are a good shout. they'll be there anyway and have plenty of recognisable hits. about the right size for that slot going on previous years.

For the record, Kaiser Chiefs were already booked for that Other Stage slot. They were offered both the chance to headline a smaller tent and play an earlier slot on a bigger stage and took both.

After people constantly guessing at Headline size acts for the past 2 years and it being Beady Eye and The Kaiser Chiefs, why would it suddenly change and be a headline sized band!!

It will be a middle of the road, few singalong songs with a new album to advertise act.

Have no idea if they are releasing a new album soon but the Bastille guess seems like a pretty good one.

Need a really good, charismatic rock band to really get the party started.

Someone like snow patrol would be great.

You're getting too good at this, russy.

Just imagine if a forum newbie read that as their first exposure to your posts.

They'd think you were a lovely ol' fella.

Poor bastard.

:)
