Other Stage Friday Special Guests

No amount of bad weather could ruin that for me. Travelled down to London from Newcastle for one of the roundhouse shows and ended up missing the first three songs due to illness. Felt so crap that I couldn't fully appreciate what I was present for, too.

While we're keeping this pipe dream going, though, wouldn't a THB set work better in William's Green?

Christ, Other Stage set is enough pipedreaming for me!

@Manics: The full running order for the @GlastoFest weekend has been revealed./LzxTOzu28W

Interesting

Yeah I saw this, was tweeted immediately after Paul Weller's account tweeted the same. Don't know if they are under the same management etc and aren't at Glastonbury at all?

Or should we all get excited and assume they're going to appear in some capacity?

Wait, everything makes sense now.

I thought them tweeting about Uncut's '30 Best Paul Weller Songs' was a bit weird.

Dream over everyone.

Is that how it works? Every act has their own personal anti-christ style opposite?

I want to see the Anti-Elvis.

I meant because there was a 'TBA' on John Peel last year, the slot for which would've fitted THB being played in full perfectly, so everyone speculated that that's what it would be, but it turned out to be The Kooks.

You're getting too good at this, russy.

Just imagine if a forum newbie read that as their first exposure to your posts.

They'd think you were a lovely ol' fella.

Poor bastard.

:)

Ben

Snow Patrol are Russy's guilty secret...

You obviously weren't around these parts last year when I was obsessing about whether or not they were going to tour the anniversary.

Yes I have. Yes it's amazing.

All the fashionistas sat waiting for a special guest of Bastille or the kooks, however, are not gonna appreciate the not too subtle "dumb c**ts, same dumb questions" and the crunching guitars of "of walking abortion" and wil run away looking to find out when catfish and the bottlemen are playing.

haha ok. I thought id better check before i went in with a verbal attack! respect to you fella, cracking album! and i know what you mean now haha.

got my hopes up for it now, but wont happen!

They won't appreciate the real gem of that album which is 4st 7lb either. That song is bloody heartbreaking.

I'm glad you've included the gramattical error, haha.

It's a perfect album from start to finish. Every track is brilliant.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
