I can't think of a better way to avoid Kanye, if it turns out to be a clash. I'm bringing flared trollies to da party. :music::music::music:

My thoughts exactly. As long as they don't clash with belle and sebastian or chemical bros. i'm definitely there.

One word of warning - I was super excited to see them when they last played, but after the opening 10 minutes of 70's rock-god style fretw*nkery I left in disapointment.

Yes I remember being very excited going to see them in Manchester a good few years back and was very disappointed due to this kinda stuff. Probably goes down as my most disappointing gig I've been to

I'm hoping for Saturday night headliners. I saw Clinton and Funkadelic at Bestival. Really liked them. Looking forward to seeing them again. Might see the opening of Kanye beforehand though out of curiosity.

Is this gonna be a Chic-like good time night on West Holts??

It won't be quite the same as a Chic show. Nile plays short, sharp pop songs. George and co like to jam. That said, both are drawing from inspirational back catalogues that, basically, laid the foundations for most 'urban' music today. And both are drawing from recent homages/collaborations which have propelled them back into the public consciousness. It needs to be said - loud, proud and often - "Uptown Funk" is, to all intents and purposes a G. Clinton knock-off. Plus, The Family Stone collab. will add another dimension. George and the Band and the Family Stone blasting through "Dance to the Music" will tear the roof off. Guaranteed.

Best set I've ever seen at Glastonbury. Definitely. Blew my mind.

What I do find interesting is that there is far more interest in them now, then there was in 2010. Why is that?

My guess is it's to do with "Uptown Funk", which is basically a G. Clinton rip-off.

I dragged my mates there to watch him last time, begged them to stay but they did exactly the same thing. I stayed on my own and had a ball. Serious party time
