Yeah I reckon it'll be something like that. A bit uninspiring IMO, but it will give me a chance to explore other stages. Will probably see all 3 headliners though.

Such a weak set of headliners regarding other this year if that turns out to be close

Rudimental, Ben Howard and The Chemical Brothers fits though...

Both Rudimental and Ben would pull massive crowds, they are both massive acts right now and I think Rudimental will do a great job against the Foo Fighters.

If it is Blur vs Chemical Brothers on the sunday i'l be at the Chems as i'm at hyde park the week before!

That wouldnt be a surprise though. She is heavily rumoured.

I mean more like the fact last year, he wasn't talked about and then "bang, he is on the poster"

Come on dude, the closer and closer it got with his tour dates and Glasto free, it was looking likely. It wasn't that much of a surprise, a lot of us expected to see him on the poster and he has a history with the fest.

He certainly was somewhere at least. It's been said a fair few times he can only do Saturday. He's doing Roskilde as well but that isn't mentioned on his tour dates either.

Roskilde's the week after though, isn't it? The only thing I can see is Werchter on the Friday.

Foo Fighters, Florence, Iggy Pop

Rudimental

Kanye, Pharrell, Van Morrison

Ben Howard, Jamie T

Blur, Foals, Beck

Chemical Brothers

with Laura Marling headlining Park on Saturday, would do me just fine.

If Beck plays it will be either be in the place of Iggy, or he's subbing the Other stage to someone. (Maybe Chems)

I sort of agree. He released High Ball Stepper and was announced for Open'er a couple of days before the Glastonbury announcement so we were sort of expecting him after that, Him being announced for Open'er was a surprise though.

Do people really think Rudimental can headline the Other stage? I don't see it myself.

I think they'd be quite a weak headliner but someone posted on the Other stage headliners thread saying that he'd met one of them and that they were headlining the Friday.

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
    • Beartooth? Or are they a bit to shouty shouty
