Does make me chuckle how angry people get about these things, I wouldn't go anywhere near them to be honest but as long as they don't have an effect on somebody elses festival what does it matter? Flags are a far greater menace, both with obstructing the views of the stage and with the risk of getting hit by some bell end waving them about.

Flags drive me insane. Whats the point in them? So you can say thats me when you watch it back on TV. The annoyance of having to hold or carry around something like that would drive me up the wall. When you speak to someone who has one they say its so our group no where we are...please surely thats what mobile phones are for.

I will be bringing my Watford flag, but for use on Thursday and in campsite only. Fucking can't stand the massive ones at the stages. Looks nice on TV but really get in the way!

Campsite for sure. I usually make a point of pitching my tent near something I can use as a point of reference when trying to make my way back to the tent smashed. So if i see your Watford flag i'll be sure to use it or bring my Spurs one

I've been to plenty of events since they became a pretty big thing and never had them impact me at all, willing to bet that the majority of people on here haven't been adversely affected by them either. There are far more annoying things that go on in large crowds that are a far more pressing concern for me than someone taking a picture of themselves from a pole.

I am normally well up for a rant on a crowd being annoying, but I just can't bring myself to loathe selfie sticks that much. They don't seem particularly bothersome atm, people are just looking at the worst case scenario and I can't see it.

This ten times over - flag waving nutters really get my goat - totally irational feelings I have towards them. We have a flag to help find the tent but not in front of the stage - totally needless and bloody rude in my opinion....... rant over

Congrats on promotion by the way, definitely deserved it alongside Bournemouth. We (Wolves) just missed out on P/Offs, great season though after just coming up from L1!

Live and let live I say. If you are at the best festival in the world. Why get so annoyed about what other people do. They have a right to whatever they like. I'm emetaphobic (irrational fear of being sick) So a festival with lots of people drinking lots / drugs etc does panic me. But not enough for me to decree a ban on all excessive behaviour.

I just suck it up and not give it the big potatoes.

I think the biggest issue with the selfie and selfie sticks is that as they become more and more ubiquitous and omnipresent they highlight the conceited, narcissistic, vain side of modern society. And thats an ugly thing really.

Totally agree with you. I hate the smell of pot/weed but I don't go on about it if someone's smoking it I just move out of the way if it bothers me
