Anyone had an enormous spliff whilst listening to it? Please provide feedback. Strikes me as a perfick listen for such funtimes.

Ahaaa! I had a banger while listening to it last night. The slower and more delicate sequences were amplified and quite striking. Spaceman I hadn't really appreciated. Mary Jane opened my eyes to its understated beauty.

I'm on maybe my 4th listen and it keeps improving. I adore Ghost Ship. It's very "soft Gorillaz" but the noodly guitar from Graham is irreplaceable.

Actually, assuming a 18-20 song set. Those six new ones, 8-9 big crowd pleasers:

Girls & Boys

Parklife

There's No Other Way

Beetlebum

Song 2

Tender

Out of Time

The Universal

And 4/5 fan favourites:

Sing

This Is A Low

Caramel

For Timorrow

And I'd say you've got a hell of a set list.

No coffee and tv would kill me

Hehehe it was the Steely Dan sheen to Ghost Ship that had me pining for a numbah.

I think they'd drop Out Of Time, I think including it on previous tours was something of an olive branch from Graham to show that he'd moved on after being kicked out of the sessions.

The band's not doing a career retrospective now, I don't see why they should include anything from Think Tank. As much as I like the record, it's not a proper Blur album.

doing a free show at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg, which is a great intimate venue short of 1000. Has to be first gig in US in over a decade surely, this century even? will be trying in a few hours' time to get a ticket

It's really good. Couple video snippets from the raw jams that took place in Hong Kong. Very frank & emotional stuff from Graham.

Aye, really enjoyed it! Good to see that Graham was such a driving force behind the record/sessions. Very honest words from Damon too

Surely those fan favourites would be more likely to be nixed for a Glastonbury headline slot than the likes of Country House and End of a Century?

I'd say this is a low is one of the crowd pleasers, no?

Not sure on that one. I love that song and you can tell the band love playing it too. Whether or not your casual Blur fan would be pining for it? I'm not convinced. It would be a staple on any blur set list regardless.

I'd imagine core songs that would be there no matter what would be:

Beetlebum

Song 2

Country House

Tender

Coffee and TV

For Tomorrow

Parklife

Advert

Popscene

Girls and Boys

There's no other way

The Universal

This is a low

End of a Century

To the End

Make room for 5-6 of the new songs. Then a few select from the back catalogue. I would love for them to do Badhead or Charmless Man. That's a 23-24 song set list that would smash glastos back doors in

I'm always surprised by how little reaction Popscene gets. We were the only ones particularly up for it every time I've seen them. It's not a song you hear on the radio much either, and most of my friends don't know it, I feel like its got lost a bit over time. Hope they stick with it though.

I'd happily see song 2, parklife and country house dropped. But I know that wont happen.

I thought Sing was a hit wasnt it? I always thought that was one of their more well known songs. Probably wrong like!

    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
