They played it in Hyde Park three years ago so you never know. A truly lovely piece of music but it does lower the energy somewhat.

True true. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I bet I end up seeing them at Hyde Park and Glasto in the hope of different setlists.

In terms of criminally underrated songs I'd love to see Strange News From Another Star make an appearance, but like NDLTR it's not exactly a party anthem.

from 2009 i would drop-

tracy jacks

jubilee

badhead

trimm trabb

oily water

sunday sunday

country house

to the end

popscene

theres no other way

shes so high

i'd put in 6 new songs, and something like MOR,sing, charmless man and some rarities

thats massivelly different, but still crowd pleasing

I think they've played badhead almost every time i've seen them. Love that song. And i think i'm alone in adoring Tracey Jacks. Helluva track.

Hehehe it was the Steely Dan sheen to Ghost Ship that had me pining for a numbah.

Fuck yes, that's it. Steely Dan. That's an inspired and gloriously accurate comparison. Spot on Wooderson.

Not alone - possibly my favourite track from Parklife, banging tune.

Incidentally Damon wasn't the only one blubbering at To the End in 09, I was a wreck!

I had a rough year in 2009, my girlfriend at the time broke up with me then attended the festival with her new boyfriend/my ex-friend whom she cheated on me with. So I was a blubbering wreck during To The End / This Is A Low.

Also sob story over : I then went to uni and ended up with someone much better looking .

The denouement to this anecdote was more blunt than i expected. Made me chuckle. Well in son.

Met my girlfriend during blur 09. Would be an absolute dream them playing. Just them releasing a album is amazing. I would absolutely love them to play - special night if so. Tender would make me cry like a baby.

First gig we went to together after that festival was the last ever oasis gig at v fest and we love Noel so if it's Noel then Blur we'll be blubbering wrecks before blur come on...

I'd definitely keep the ones that I've put in bold. They played Sing at Hyde Park in 2012 which was excellent. I'd love to hear Charmless Man live.

    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
