Currently in Pilton my washing is damp ego it has rained. The security has arrived opposite the house which always brings rain. However it appears to be brightening up now so that light rain will have dampened down the tracks. I'll let you know the site conditions later as onsite this afternoon.

Still warm though.

What a 36 hours this has been. On Thursday evening we were all looking at boats and now we're looking at umbrellas to protect us from the sun.

Let's hope it now holds around this point, clears the last bit of rain away and we can get the party started.

I looked at yr.no this morning and was very happy. I then looked at where I live on the same site and am a bit lost.

Search for Ruspidge and look at the forecast - Saturday is utterly vile and we are not far north of Pilton......... please tell me Ruspidge has a special weather day that nobody else has.

Where is big dog this year?

Very happy about these developments. Fingers crossed they continue. God, I'd love not to have to wear wellies for the whole time this year.

He's in NFR NFC. He'll post sometime over the weekend along with onside photos from his walk.

currently he is devouring his breakfast which will conclude with a fart , a snort and a roll on his back before his return to the sofa. Good life is a dogs

Have NFR NFC bought exclusive rights to big dog updates this year

*please can this be taken as the joke it's intended to be. I don't want to ignite a slagging match this close to the event especially when our mutual goal of a dry festival is almost in our grasp

    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
    • Proper loser behaviour wearing a tee like that. Me and my mate play a game every year called ‘Boomer Tees’ and there’s some gems every time.
    • Naah, she plays 4 dates in Barcelona in early May
