  1. 100% agree re diversity. I've been every year since 2007, and the change since then is brilliant. All the criticism about Glastonbury being only for middle class, middle age white people, just isn't true anymore. There's so much amazing and interesting stuff that never gets reported or shown on the bbl though so I guess if you don't go, you couldn't know that. I loved the information stage in silver Hayes - bringing interesting discussions to the middle of a dance area mainly populated by young people is brilliant. Also agree re food though got to the eat the farm just as they had sold out - gutted, looked so good. I just think it's the best place on earth.
  2. Yes send a friend out and make sure it's on loose enough to slip off. I handed my wristband/passout/ticket to someone one year when I left early sunday am. I also got in 2017 on a trader ticket in a male name and just winged it, avoided waving my wrists around. I was only there Sat-Sun though.
  3. I bought these ages ago, but not only using the outbound as we are taking a camper van, so I'll be in that home. Any interest?
  4. Glitterbox are doing a Greenpeace takeover Friday night. There's defo going to be some classics in that.
  5. I bought these ages ago, being super organised, but looks like we'll be taking a camper van. Would anyone be interested in a 930am one way London to Glastonbury on the Friday, or 2 return trips from the festival back to London at 2am on the Monday:? Just putting it out there. Thanks
  6. Same here. I know Glastonbury is close when I login to look at the weather thread again. Every Glastonbury since 2009 has involved analysing the weather on here, and despite the fact that the predictions have never once been accurate, I'm still back here with a month to go.

I remember a fire in the backstage bar of rabbit hole, and that would have been about 2016 I think
  8. Fleetmac Wood were. My overseen rather than overheard was one of the aforementioned chair c**ts sitting in the middle of the Diana ross crowd, with people packed around him, and his phone out watching the bbc2 coverage of... Diana Ross
  9. Exactly what I thought this am. even when the weather is actually happening, they can’t predict it!
  10. Yes thank you so much! It’s all looking so much better than I feared earlier in the week… So so excited now
  11. I am same, leaving Friday due to childcare... if I get any intel from mates already there, I'll let you know
  12. Is that true? I didn’t know that
  13. Emily eavis's husband is their manager I think, so never surprised to see them on the bill.
  14. Ah then I have merged my 2015/6 Friday nights in my memory, which isn’t that surprising. But we were defo Sat on the ground on the sat in 2015. I’ve got a photo of that so not relying on my unreliable memory!
  15. This is 2015. 2016 was mud all the way though.
  16. Oh yes I remember the rain for mary j. It was heavy for Christine and the queens at the other stage earlier too... but we were sitting on the ground in front of the pyramid the next day.
  17. Baileys coffee is lovely when it's chilly. Which it won't be of course.
  18. I saw this a few weeks ago and it was brilliant. Like being in Tron. The lighting and effects make it.
  19. Absolutely. Hope it's true... she is the sort of person to know, but if jack white seems to be a cert, then she must be wrong
  20. My friend who works in music said arcade fire for Sunday park… no idea if that is correct
  21. I was definitely in wellies in 2016... and 2007/08/09/11/14/15/16. But I've hitherto not been a walking boots and gaiters person, which clearly I should become to avoid the dreaded wellies!
  22. All adds to the general excitement! And thanks, waders it is!
  23. lol yes, i just really want to avoid wellies! But I like your response, as it gives me my answer
  24. I don't recall it being quite this much of a rollercoaster in previous years! Feels at this stage like anything between 11 degrees and drizzle and a full on heatwave is possible.
