Also got the CB vs Ibeyi problem, even though I love Courtney Ibeyi are one of those acts you just know will be beautiful live so I might be leaving part way through the set as well.

unfortunately i think i'll end up sticking with Courtney Barnett - have been giving her album a spin and had forgotten just how good it is, but basically if i manage to get up and out of bed by 12, it's Courtney, if a bit later, Ibeyi

I was listening the other day and, whilst the whole thing is still enjoyable, I really think that the first four tracks are a lot better than the rest of the record. Small Poppies is the climax and and it all feels a bit inferior from then on to me.

Pretty sure Depreston is after all those songs, making you wrong.

No, no, no! The chunky rocky tracks in the second half are mega power pop! Just smiletastic!!

It's probably the best track after the first four, still doesn't touch them for me though.

I am looking forward to seeing other tracks live though, still reckon I'll enjoy them. The album just didn't seem as great as I remember it being when I revisited it.

Sharon Van Etten released a new EP today, didn't even know about it until I got an email.

Will be spending a decent amount of time up at The Park this year and finally get to see my first headliner up there, SFA!

Goat wil be special on the Sunday, loved their set in 2013 on West Holts.

Great news, will listen later! She played a couple from it on her tour and they sounded really good

Has anyone listened much to Eaves? What a fantastic talent, Purge may have just become one of my favourite songs of recent times. Even better he slots in just before Ibeyi.

At the same MOTHER TRUCKING time as Courtney. Grr, I hate you Glastonbury. Too much good stuff.

I didnt think I'd get there this year, but I saw loads, SFA blew me away and to be honest, I dont know how I ended up there, coz I had been saying to me pal all day I wouldnt be at it with him. I was and it was stunning. Also saw Spiritualized, Kate Tempest and Gaz Coombes, again both awesome. Loved the Bimble Inn, and all the bars round there. Had a brilliant day on Thursday just boozing round there too

spent a lot of the Thursday chilling up by the Park which was lovely. only managed to catch one act there this year though, Father John Misty, who was amazing. enjoyed that a lot. hopefully next year there'll be more there for me to see/less clashes preventing me from seeing them

After King Gizzard we waited to see who was next on. It was a beatboxer, which was pretty good. Not my usual thing, but he got the crowd going.

There were big bins put amongst the crowd.

The set ended with around 40 drummers, Rudimental and lily allen joining him on stage. The crowd, and the rest of the people on stage then performed the worlds biggest drumming intro for a beatboxer.

It was to promote the white ribbon alliance.

It was a great moment.

I did:

Pussy Riot - very disjointed, pretty disappointing.

King Gizzard and The Lizzard Wizard - Again, rather disappointed. It was good fun but wasn't as good as I thought it'd be.

Sharon Van Etten - really beautiful in the sunset, the bit where she dedicated a song (can't remember which one) to that little girl was really nice. Your Love is Killing Me was one of the best songs I saw all festival, too.

Super Furry Animals - didn't expect anything less, fantastic start to finish.

Gaz Coombes - like his new album and the songs translated really well.

Mavis Staples - incredible set. Gave it her all. Was the most surreal thing ever when that Paraglider(?) flew right over the stage at the climax of I'll Take You There. Incredible.

Goat - classed them as my Sunday headliner as once they were done the other headliners had already started and I wasn't bothered about Ryan Adams. Wish they filled their allotted 1hr15mins but it was a brilliant set, been meaning to see them ever since I (stupidly) missed their 2013 set as well so it was good way to see the festival out.

It was I Don't Want To Let You Down, which didn't really click with me before, but since watching that set I've been loving the new EP. I have to say, that one she announced as a b-side you can't get anywhere was wonderful, where can I find this track?

The Park was definitely my favourite area of the festival. I really enjoyed the chilled out vibe. Lebanese food place was great as was the ale bar on the hill. Coupled with the fact Wolf Alice and Kate Tempest destroyed it, it was good times all round!

Yes I remember thinking it was great! Hope to hear it properly sometime.

Just remembered I saw the latter half of Father John Misty too, what a great performer. I'll have to catch him at one of his own shows.

I've visited the Lebanse place every year and loved it, but went this year, and was quite upset by the woman being really fucking rude and short with me. I was just politely pointing at stuff and asking her what it was, not excessively, just trying to decide what I wanted, there was no queue. It was delicious though.

I only saw 4 sets up there, despite planning on seeing a lot more but they were all among the best things I saw. Wolf Alice, Ibeyi, Kate Tempest and Ryan Adams.

Such a lovely atmosphere up there this year, the perfect antidote to experiences at the other outdoor stages.
