The Park 2015

Got some great acts there this year, but I wont be there for that many acts. The real surprise this year is that I have FOUR! (4) acts to see on the JPT, and they're all seriously great acts, usually I try to avoid it.

See you all up The Park for Sharon Van Etten!

Dunno if it's been posted elsewhere but Benjamin Booker and Wolf Alice have swapped positions.

Might be of use to people worrying about clashes with either of those. Not for me but there are plenty of acts I wouldn't mind swapping positions.

Just noticed this on my page change tracker. Might be worth keeping an eye on the times

I was thinking that's good as it means they won't be clashing with Florence but they're just clashing with Peace now instead

I'll see them at Williams Green though if that turns out to be true so it's not too bad.

Are Wolf Alice likely to play WG on Thursday then?

due to having zero 'must sees' on the Park this year (that don't clash with other acts) i decided to check out some of the acts playing during my 'down time' and discovered Ibeyi. absolutely love them! their album is great. they start just as Courtney Barnett finishes which is a bit of a bummer, but i'm seriously considering going to see them instead and then stay there for the first half of the day

That Ibeyi album is a bobby dazzler. Really wish they were on at the Holts, though - there's nothing else on up at The Park that time of day that I'm fussed about.

They're brilliant live too. Not sure if I fancy that trek from Courtney Barnett to the Park though

Acoustic after Wilko to Park for Sharon Van Etten. Half an hour. Can see an overweight unfit nearly 40 year old panting up that hill!!!!

Not looking forward to that dash.

Bugger, I've got that dash too. I've got 8 years on you too. Can you tell her to hold on a bit? I did that dash in reverse one year. In wellies, it ain't pretty.

aye doesn't seem much point considering they end/start at the same time. would miss most of Ibeyi if you attempted it so it';s one or the other... reckon it'll come down to where i'm camped/who i fancy on the day

Not sure how I'm going to manage Run the Jewels into Sharon van Etten to be honest. I'll probably leave ten minutes before he end of the former, miss the first ten of the latter. Twenty minutes to get from WH to the Park can be done!

Good spot, great news for me, removes any clashes with Wolf Alice for me on Friday :)

Ive made peace with not seeing Wolf Alice at Glasto as I'll catch them at Lattitude. I cant miss Mary J Blige.

I seriously hope Sharon van Etten does another set somewhere so I don't have to choose. Crow's nest please!

Jesus, imagine Sharon Van Etten in the Crow's Nest, it'd be beautiful for the 6 people that would manage to get in.

I got all excited thinking I could take a quick walk up to the park after Motorhead and then realized Benjamin Booker instead clashes with RTJ :(

Hadn't heard much of Benjamin Booker or Glass Houses before the playlist but enjoying them both, it's a really great line-up on the park this year actually. Not too much filler at all.

Also got the CB vs Ibeyi problem, even though I love Courtney Ibeyi are one of those acts you just know will be beautiful live so I might be leaving part way through the set as well.

    • Solid list...  but i must ask?  are you excluding Lime Garden & Tomora as you didn't like them or is it that you havent listened to them?
    • It was Brooklyn last year, and I seem to remember a Guinness tent
    • That leaker off Instagram was saying earlier this year that Nickelback are doing a tour with Broco and Wargasm, but no evidence as yet
    • Gojira are unoficially confirmed by the organisation at Hellfest since last December already.   Slayer was supposed to be this year as a Mainstage 2 headliner at the place of Volbeat for a thrash day but negotiations fell off. Very likely to be there next year.    MCR I didn't know about but it fits well with Hellfest's desire to keep one day as more punk/rock orientated.    Europe are a confirmed headliner for Sweden Rock 2027. They will not headline HF but we may seem them on the bill. I am very curious who will be the legacy bands next year at HF. There was some backlash after 2025 and a bit of a return to heavier metal on the bill in 2026 - e.g. Gatekeeper on the main stage. The only considerable legacy acts I see coming (if they are in Europe) and haven't been at HF for a while are Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Slash, FFDP (if you count them as legacy), ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I really hope they manage to pull sth big for the 20th anniversary like AC/DC.
