I heard that the festival organisers are waiting for one of the band members to get a terminal illness before they say no, as is their usual custom in this matter.

Do you think he would have the pulling power on his own?

I know he is Dave Gilmour, I'd be absolutely ecstatic, but Robert Plant doesn't. Jimmy Page Doesn't.

Put them together with JPJ and the field would be full.

I'm not sure Gilmour would.

I saw him a few years ago at the bridgewater hall. Fantastic. I'll be there again hopefully!!

I really dont know. Probably not in all honesty among todays crowd.

But if roger waters didnt headline then I dont see why david gilmour should. Roger was the real talent, and as far as I know doesnt rely on his wife to write his lyrics for him..................

Gilmour joined him at The Wall gig to return a favour for when Waters played his charity gig.

Would love to see him play but as Russy says, would he headline when Waters and Plant didn't?

The Waters sub slot on Sunday would be the best option.

Lionel Richie to Dave Gilmour... bit of a head spinner that

If he played a Floyd heavy set and had Roger join him at some stage he could headline. But yeah, subbing on Sunday is fine. Just get him in! Would be worth it just for the 6-7 minute jam from 6 mins in on the vid above.
