kaosmark2
Well after reading the efests interview I'm going for Portishead - special act they've been after. B&S - headlined before XX - played latitude before and moving up the line up. I would say it's a lot of wishful thinking as well. Nah, they'll be the Bestival headliners

zahidf
I'm thinking specifically a 2006 headliner: that's from Snow Patrol, Antony & The Johnsons, and Mogwai Mogwai played last year second stage. Anthony @ Johnson's aren't really big enough anymore. Just leaves Snow Patrol. ' ten acts from Latitude 2006 coming back for special homecoming shows' Could see Anthony playing mind you, just not headlining! Here is the 2006 line up for the ten acts http://www.latitudefestival.com/history/latitude-festival-2006 Edited December 2, 2014 by zahidf
paulomas
I'd go for The xx as the band moving up the line up
LondonTom
Here is the 2006 line up for the ten acts http://www.latitudefestival.com/history/latitude-festival-2006 There is a mighty fine selection of indie bands in there! Larrikin Love!!! Mevlin needs to get them to reform I'd also take: Lemonheads, Mystery Jets!!, Pigeon Detectives!!, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Howling Bells...please! Patti Smith is around, so seems quite obvious (unless she's exclusive to field day?). I am Kloot could be likely to? Paolo Nutini could be the repeat headliner? Other bands I like a couple of songs from, not sure how active they are though: Rumble Strips, Noisettes!, Pippettes(Didn't one of them get in a really bad car accident actually?), Peter, Bjorn and John, Guillemots. I really like that 2006 lineup!
Uncle Liam
Mystery Jets are awful these days
kaosmark2
I think Howling Bells and Guillemots are the only ones of those I'd even consider watching now.
johnl
This is sounding very exciting. There are loads of acts on that 2006 list I wouldn't mind seeing if still around. For the headliners I'll go fo Bjork, Alt-J and (sadly) Flo.
thetime
For the headliners I'll go fo Bjork. Albums not out until end of 2015, can't see her cutting of recording to play gigs in the summer.
kaosmark2
Sadly I think Alt-J are likely, but I reckon the Portishead/Nick Cave/B&S shouts aren't pure optimism.

eFestivals
Mystery Jets are awful these dayswhen did things change for them? I didn't notice the change.
LondonTom
when did things change for them? I didn't notice the change. Exactly Neil, great band
Uncle Liam
when did things change for them? I didn't notice the change. Ten years ago, when they were singing in Latin and Blaine was bashing most of his mums kitchen equipment. Good times.
Uncle Liam
I'd say: Portishead Alt J Nick Cave . Nothing against Portishead, but them AND Alt-J as headliners? Bloody hell. Hardly a party environment. I know it's not something which you always have to reject, but surely something a bit more lively is in order? Uncle Liam
Let's work this out Snow Patrol Antony and the Johnsons Mogwai Damien Rice The Good, The Bad and The Queen Arcade Fire Franz Ferdinand Sigur Ros Interpol Pet Shop Boys Grace Jones Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Florence Belle and Sebastien Vampire Weekend The National Paulo Nutini Suede Bon Iver Elbow Paul Weller Bloc Party Kraftwerk Foals Two Door Cinema Club/Lily Allen Damon AlbarnThe Black Keys Now, having done all that, I've crossed out the ones who we can pretty much rule out. The National are rumoured on this website, although they've hammered the festival circuit the last two summers, The Good, The Bad and The Queen have been spoken about doing something together, but please god NO MORE ALBARN. Does it categorically state a headliner will be returning? And does a previous headliner have to return as a headliner?
Frankly Mr Shankly
My guess for the headliners would probably be: Alt-J, Paolo Nutini, Morrissey Possible Portishead instead of Morrissey as 'the act they've been after for a while'. As thetime said I can't see it being Bjork because she'll be recording the new album. Edited December 2, 2014 by Frankly Mr Shankly
Uncle Liam
Manics doing Holy Bible as headliners? Morrissey could be a good shout though.
