It's all subjective isn't it.

Personally I would give Madonna ago. I don't have any of her music, but I'm old enough to remember all her hits coming out and would sing along if she played them. She could also be terrible and just play her newer songs.

I agree with the comment someone made about keeping open minded, but also accepting some music just isn't for you. I didn't watch Beyonce because I didn't know any of her music and so didn't have any connection to it and I'm glad I didn't as when I got home I saw bits of her performance on TV (always record everything) and it left me cold.

Kanye West doesn't do it for me either, but I am pleased others on efests are excited about him.

I would prefer the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Jam, Cream, Stone Roses, but for me Madge could be interesting.

Talking about Elvis, imagine how brilliant he would have been at a festival.

They must keep mentioning glastonbury on radio 2.

This chap has even tweeted them about it...

Could add weight to those who think it'll be announced through that platform...

Until Bob Harris starts talking, I ain't listening

Best connected man in music ya heard?

So he has a feeling like we all have a feeling

I think Matt's just saying that as this guy is a promoter, they may have a bit of a more 'educated' feeling with insider knowledge etc.

Here's hoping they do and we get it today! :D

I feel that the Shangri La announcement makes any other announcement from Glastonbury today very unlikely, but I could be wrong of course.

I think the official GF line is no announcement in March, so we'll have to wait until Wednesday at the earliest

We've got radio 2 on, they do keep mentioning it, and festivals generally. They've also played both Madonna and David Bowie in the last 15 mins. I know which I'd prefer!

Yep.

Makes sense for Shangri La to announce today and then, say, Madge on Wednesday... Keeps the momentum up without overcrowding the info.

    • Just watched Annie Lennox at Wilderness Festival as part of her global feminist The Circle initiative. She curated the 2 hour slot with special guests including Jessie Ware and then did  a 1/2 hour slot singing her and Eurythmics hits at the end. Her voice is amazing still and I am convinced she would do an amazing set on Sunday afternoon. She even wore a jacket with a sparkling CND symbol on the back! It’s a sign!!
    • 1. Jack White - Frozen Charlotte 2. Buffalo Traffic Jam - Pictures Of You 3. The Rolling Stones - Foreign Tongues
    • Is it one of those bollocks things where ones is a festival and the other would be a show lol
    • Hello,   I have no idea what the answer is to your question, but wish you well in your quest for information.
    • Yes, I was asking about comedy, and also it seems odd that after bringing it back last year, the Seaside Stage seems to have gone again. Probably why Massaoke (basically a big karaoke sing-along) is now on the Castle Stage. But on all three days?! Does all seem a little desperate this year, though hopefully I will be proved wrong. Still think the Mary Wallopers fiasco has probably put a lot of artists off performing at Victorious, hence the reduction in stages and acts appearing... One of the best things about Victorious in the early days was its value for money compared to some of the other bigger festivals, but this certainly not the case anymore...
