Just me who thinks Madge just isn't the sort of act who'd want to play Glastonbury? Low fees, fair bit of pressure if she's shit or plays the wrong setlist etc.

You could have said the same about the Stones before they played. And it was a triumph for them.

I normally read this thread before work, at lunchtime and then when I get home but I'm startting to get 'the feeling' that somethings going to get announced in the next day or so, so I think my work may suffer a bit today!

I'm off work today, so other than completing parental duties I can indulge my Efestival addiction. Hello I'm the Boopickledaddy and I've been addicted to lurking and reading this site since 2014. This close to Glastonbury I'm on here way too much. Luckily I don't have the opportunity to read this site at work or I would never get anything done. Anyway if we don't get the line up soon I'm still going to need some sort of intervention to stop me using efests so much.

I've cleared my diary for the week, only time I won't be on here will be driving to/from work, and even then I'll have the radio on.

I'm ready Eavii!

So last week, after someone mentioned Madge's interview I sent a tweet to Jo Whiley asking if the interview was to announce Madge as the 3rd headliner. She did not deny so must be true!

I note Neil has been very quiet this morning. No post on here, no new festival news and no tweets. Does he have a copy of the line up and is typing it in ready to upload on the say so of Glastonbury?

Tomorrow between 6:30am and 1:00pm as I'll be travelling, then straight into a meeting.

I may get a chance to glance at around 9:55 but if it was there it would make thinks worse. 3 hours of banality while I know there's a line up to be devoured.

    • Judging by last night at Wembley, Luke Combs should be in the conversation of headliner. The UK is having a moment with country music so I don't think it would be particularly left field either.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
    • I have a spare campervan pass to get rid of.  unable to use Kaboodle as it is only entry that they re-sell
