Ahmed tea festival? it's real, saw Hot chip supported by Alt-J there a couple fo years ago. But, I'm not si sure about this libertines thing this year, Ahmed haven't realeased the details or updated their website for this year. Given the rouble tanking and the current economic crisis, I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't got the money for this year.

with roughly a week to go until the announcement it fills me with glee to see Prince's name as the main rumour for the Sunday, even if it is all based off of guesswork

Is this the first year that Neil hasn't got at least one of the headliners down as TBC before announcement? I have faith in the gaffer to reveal the last one before announcement in April, Worthy HQ wont beat him to the punch on it a third time.

All respect to Glastonbury for managing to hold all the card for this long, though.

ha no sorry, there's no evidence to suggest it, but next week or so seems to be most people's best guesses (although for all i know we could get it earlier than that or a lot later than that - it'd be just before the payment date so would make sense)

Don't forget tho, there's still RdB (supposedly, not heard it myself) saying he doesn't think Prince is coming to the UK this summer. And when it comes down to it, that's a damn sight stronger than I have that suggests him.

Far as I can tell no other media outlet has had a one to one with Emily in the past months. Efests the sole media partner. Neil considers hisself a rag and bone man on this but those of us round here a few years know better, don't we.

RDB was interviewed by Scroobias Pip on his podcast and apprantly it was talked about then I havent listened to it yet so can not confirm what was said.

florence is headlining in my mind, amongst the backlash - I knew her being 'ruled out' was too fishy when this is genuinely the perfect time for her to play. Would not be surprised if (at the time) Emily thought she would not be headlining and they'd get prince - but her giggles on the radio, her "I haven't got the call" - her laughter when fans have brought it up to her... It all fits

I put whatever is left of my reputation on the line and say that florence will headline this year - and neil will have to do his bowing down as he promised! The only reason I have been suggesting others for the past few weeks is because of Neil's certainty! But now there's a crack in that it's gotta be!

If not, 10 quid to water-aid. I'l do it!

If people think they tried for Prince but fell through last minute, then Florence was promoted to headliner, people would accept this and it would ease the pressure on her?

It only took Neil gesturing towards this for you to think so. You even specified Taylor as 'the backup headliner' in the past few days!
