Christ it'd be so simple if Emily hadn't ruled Flo out.

I actually wish she hadn't done so, so that most of us thought she was nailed on as the Sunday headliner, to then be surprised on announcement day.

Talking of Flo, the second song from the new album is coming soon, apparantly.. for those who that interests ;) Maybe as part of the interview the guy from 6Music was trailing.. Edited by Zac Quinn

To the general youngster going to a festival for a general good time, who just likes music in general, FF, Kanye and TS would be more than an acceptable trio of headliners. Especially if you've never been to Glastonbury before.

To the battle hardened Glastonbury goers, who have more discerning taste in music, the above isn't going to get the creative jizz flowing.

However, those Glastonbury going folk also wont give a fuck about those 3 headlining the pyramid as they know that there is a plethora of other things to indulge in.

Everybody is happy!

Do you not trust the thing you heard about the Roses then?

It's soon, they've not even specified when the balance payment window is yet other than 'april'. It will be around the time of the full lineup announcement

??

"Balance payments (£170 + £5 booking fee) are payable in the first week of April 2015 (from 9am Wednesday 1st April – 23:59 Tuesday 7th April)."

The balance window is 1st - 7th April, it says so on the email that was sent on ticket day confirming deposit payments for anyone that was successful.

They have, off the ticket info page

Both UK and International ticket balances of £170 + £5 booking fee per ticket, will be payable in the first week of April 2015 (from 9am Wednesday 1st April – 23:59 Tuesday 7th April), when you will also be able to book everything else you might need (tipis, campervan tickets, car parking and cancellation protection).

In this article it says the three headliners would be revealed on April 1st:

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/glastonbury-2015-lineup-fleetwood-mac-are-unavailable-says-michael-eavis-9829039.html

I know we've had the names of two of them already, but have we got any reason to disbelieve we'll at least find out the third on that date (if not the full lineup)?

This is Michael. They would not release the lineup on April fools day

You can pay the balance for up to 6 tickets in one transaction, providing you have all paid a deposit and they are all the same ticket type. By grouping your balance payments together you will only pay one postage and packing fee. You will need to provide each of their registration numbers and postcodes in order to pay their balances.

Spot on. Eavis has been trying to attract a younger demographic for years.

The Other Stage is pretty bleak when it's not sunny.

Yeah, the Other Stage is my least favourite stage by quite a margin. Unless you are down the front, it can be pretty soulless at times, especially with a wind blowing. It's just not got any character about it...it's *just* a stage.

Didn't neil say a while ago that if two massive bands fell into glastonbury's lap, they'd go for it.

This Is what I think (may) have happened this year, they may not have necessarily chased a trio like FF, Kanye and TS. But if any festival had those three acts there and waiting, and they had the opportunity to have that trio I doubt they'd say no?

Emily is clearly a fan of Kanye, since she outright defended the booking, and I'd say any festival would want the foo fighters, since they have a track record of playing massively successful shows to massive crowds.

In regards to taylor swift, if you had the opportunity to book one of the US's biggest stars clearly at her peak.. You would wouldn't you...

Yeah I'm not suggesting he was referring to any old act. What I meant was that if they had big acts like that available I'd doubt they'd turn them down since they seem to fight to get a balanced trio each year.

On reflection though, don't think my previous post relates to kanye since he has no other dates confirmed for this year - maybe they did chase him after all!

I do agree with you and it would be very difficult to turn down by the festival. But, would they have TS and Yeezy headlining in the same year? that question is the one that keeps going round and round my brain and if i had to chose, I would say that they wouldn't.

I'm not saying TS wont be there, but maybe she'll be subbing somebody on the Sunday.Ican easily see her playing before our purple friend, 1989 has an 80s funky vibe to it.

A man can dream

I agree too, Kanye and taylor seems strange but if the lineup is supported by a strong undercard I can't see it being a problem. Maybe it will make sense when everythng is out...

Yep - I think its clear to see that there is going to be some surprises this year judging by how under wraps it all is.

interested to see who is going to get the sub slot under the foo's

do we know which dates Rihanna can/cant do? could easily see her playing before Kanye. would set up for her making an appearance in his set for All of the Lights & fourfiveseconds

Disappointed on the Blur news but not surprised. Couldn't see it happening. After their last headlining slot being perfect, what could they do differently this time? Was never happening.

It's odd this year with the lack of leaks. There has been some very wishful thinking on the headliners, mainly coloured by people's own personal wishes rather than realism.

This article is quite amusing - http://www.westerndailypress.co.uk/Michael-Eavis-confirms-headliners-Glastonbury/story-23787187-detail/story.html

Fleetwood Mac's, Muse and AC/DC,Kate Bush, Oasis, U2, The Stone Roses, Coldplay, Noel Gallagher, Adele, Robert Plant, Elton John, Radiohead, Daft Punk and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. No mention at all of the two acts we already have confirmed and I strongly suspect the 3rd isn't on that list either.

not sure i see the problem here. if they decide to stop going because of 3 acts across the whole weekend then i'd probably prefer if they weren't there anyway...

There's a very strong likelihood that this will be my last Glastonbury for a very long time, but it has nothing to do with the headliners.

Some user on here seems sure florence and the machine are subbing the foos

would make sense seeing as she wont be headlining.

maybe we will be getting 3 female subs this year?!

going on Emily's comments about there being lots of women representation this year...

It wasn't actually that bad last year on the Friday, chucked it down in the morning and just before Lily Allen yes, but inbetween then and after that it was fairly pleasant.

You're right, but The Hives played in 2013, not last year.

I think Taylor Swift would only sub Madonna or Pr***e, I don't think she would sub Rihanna or Flo or Kylie or someone at that level just the big legend like people regardless of if people think they are past their prime etc.

I think Taylor Swift is most likely the last headliner...

Just to throw this in again to see what you think,

The Killers have just been announced another festival date in the US on the 20th June and are doing Firefly on the 18th.

Surely they're likely to do more than 2 festival shows if they're bothering to come together away from their solo stuff?

I know Brandon Flowers has also just announced his solo shows and his Euro tour ends start of June so is unlikely to come back so soon to do festival shows and he hasn't been announced for any UK festivals at all. Maybe he is coming back with The Killers?

I agree that pyramid headliners are not the be all and end all of Glastonbury. Of course. There is so much else going on that will appeal to people of all ages and interests etc.

However, I think a lot of people underestimate the inportance of them with regards to keeping Glastonbury as one of the biggest festivals in Europe.
