Paddy power page seems to be open at the mo for the sat night, Kanye west is 6/5!! Not even worth my tenner mind you they still have very short odds on coldplay too so hopefully that means they don't know what they're talking about. This build up is amazing! Someone was saying it was arrogant, I don't think it is, I think it's clever and creates a massive buzz, as shown by these 725 pages! Everyone knows the line up is not announced till spring, no-one is forced to buy a ticket in October are they?

I said this on another thread recently but QOTSA headlining is the best booking Glastonbury could make for me. Just can't see it happening anytime soon though.

They were a great way to end the festival in 2011, especially as they were not touring at te time. A welcome surprise

I'd like them back

They were great on their last tour too

could QOTSA sub for Foos, or would they only headline?

They could & probably would but IMO unlikely.

Their sets are best suited to an evening appearance when the sun has gone down, bit like The XX & Portishead to mind.

QOTSA headlined the Other stage last time right? So sub on Pyramid seems fair. It's a similar position to where they've played at other festivals.

They co-headlined at R&L last year and their last album seemed to give them a bit of a boost so I'd say they're headliners now.

You not a fan of The Bends?

It rotates through 4th/5th/6th in my ranking of Radiohead albums, but it'd be such a waste of a Radiohead set. The newer stuff is a damn site better live, and it's clearly not something they'd want to do. They're a band that actually continues to move forward, rather than rehashing the same stuff.

Not sure the amount of pages means that much when so much of it is taken up by absolute rubbish. The R&L 2014 lineup thread reached 2312 pages and no one in there was excited about the lineup.

QOTSA are a band who I just can't get enough of. Josh Homme is a hell of a song writer and a showman live. Reading last year was truly epic, from the opening riff of Millionaire I was wowed. I knew I was gunna enjoy that gig.

This problem is that they don't have the appeal to headline the Pyramid at Glasto. They're kinda a lesser well known version of this the Foo Fighters with a different style. I don't feel that they can push past the Other headliner/ Pyr Sub category. It really doesn't mean that I don't think they aren't a good enough band to , it's a matter of reception.

Also High & Dry is on The Bends so that rules out any chance of them playing it in full.
