4mm of rain saturday night, the rest looks pretty chuffing fabulous :D

Denial...

http://forum.netweather.tv/blog/189/entry-4791-glastonbury-festival-2014-25-to-29-june-forecast-no-14-issued-21-june/

Arrrghhh - you were right, whoever said a 6 for today - it's not great news is it? :girlwah:

Anger...

Well, I'm prepared for the worst now. Anything less than having to deal with mud for four days is an improvement from here on in.

Bargaining...

I was hoping for a repeat of 2010. That's why I'm sad.

Depression...

This may be the best approach prepare for the worst then anything better is a bonus. Maybe that's all The Nal was trying to do.

Acceptance...

The five stages of loss and grief ;)

I'm not letting any of u stay in my tent

At this time next week I won't be in my own tent far too much going on. I think I'll be at The Park waiting for John Grant to come on. At least that's my decision today. Don't think it'll change as I bloody love John Grant but from about 18:30 - 22:30 is my most monstrous clashes of the whole weekend and I just can't make up my mind but be assured your tent is not on my list ;)

I'm confused by yr.no's forecast:

should I be adding up the mm's below each day or all the mm's from the detailed forecasts? They give vastly different figures.

I told u THEY R WRONG just wrong, everything about that website is WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!

Unfortunately, I think you add them up. The summary is showing the middle reading from each day.

Temperature looks about right for a festival to me!

I've enjoyed myself a lot more with cooler days and cloudy nights - all comes down to amounts and times of wet

It looks a bit thunderstormy which means very hit and miss rain and the systems are moving quickly so short and sharp. That doesn't ruin whole days like 07 rain and it's amazing what evaporation, transpiration and a hundred thousand feet can do to dry it out pretty quickly

Currently listening to a Youtube set of him and I think he'll be great as always. My main question now is do I watch Anna Calvi before (whom I do like) to be in a good spot for John or do I go and see the Manics.

I hope it doesn't rain during this, just to keep it weather related

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
