Hasn't he been involved with the glasto artwork for the last few years?

Not sure about last year but definitely in 2011. My 2011 tshirt has a tiny Radiohead bear in the design on the front.

Now looking into it, it appears he has. I'm fairly new with Glastonbury so I guess it passed me by but that's pretty cool.

i'm pretty sure he's been involved with glasto artwork since at least '03.

he seems to have spent the last while recycling old ideas.

and not particularly good ones may i add. it works with the Radiohead stuff, but the Glastonbury poster this year is horrible. i thought it'd been hobbled together last minute by somebody on Microsoft Paint. surprising to hear that it's done by a genuine artist

Ah cool didn't realise that - I love the Kid A artwork. I thought the poster was good design wise - even if it doesn't make the band positioning clear. Usually its just a bland list of names. Cant beat the good old yellow Leeds/Reading posters for identity though!

For the Radiohead geeks: Stanley Donwood (Radiohead artist for years and years) did the latest Glastonbury poster, which is why it kinda looks like this from the Kid A booklet...

...and why some sites are speculating that Radiohead are the special guests. If only. Might get a poster this year, mind.

Thank you for pointing this out!

so I heard a few days ago, this is to be the new style of everything Glastonbury from now on.The release of names last week was also considered to be the release of the new style by the festival.

Glastonbury rebranding? So will we still see some guffy quote on the lineup poster? New ticket style?

When you say new style, do you know if that means that there will not be a stage by stage poster?

Intresting I thought they done it just to fit in with Glastonbury Free Press, they seemed to bigging it abit with the extra posters on sale etc. (and the news of concretting the site this year at the ETC :P).

I quite like it actually!

i've always wondered if there's a connection between glastonbury getting that old printing press and stanley donwood. as in was it his suggestion/pet project or something. cos he's been fascinated by using old-fashioned printing methods for ages. it just seemed quite the coincidence that the artist-in-residence or whatever he is is known for using something that then, quite randomly, shows up in the fields.

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂

Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
