Wednesday and Thursday Night

Wednesday night is always a write-off for me. A combination of travelling down Tuesday night, queuing, lugging your gear across the site and setting up takes its toll.

Every year I promise I'll have a kip once the tents up so I'll be good for the rest of the day. Every year I get over excited, drink like a loon and end up shattered by 8pm.

was my first time last year and i seriously loved the wednesday and thursday, walking up to the stone circle and turning around seeing the site wednesday night was a massive highlight. Went way too hard on the brothers cider though both days, come sunday i had no energy what so ever and the latest i stayed up was 1am each night. Plan is to get more rest on the wednesday before hitting the alcohol so hard as want to experience more of the late night antics :)

This thread is exciting and depressing me at the same time as im relying on the resale.

Wednesday is pretty chilled cos im nakered from getting up at 3am and then queuing for hours to get in and carrying my own body weight in booze. I think last year we went to some dance tent in the p*ssing rain and then all got drunk at one of the wine vans. Thursday is usually a wander round the site, healing feilds and the ones we dont tend to see much of once the muisc starts and then maybe going to the park later on.

Wednesday - set up camp and meet up with friends who have travelled from other parts of the country. I went to the efests meet up last year but only stayed around half an hour and didn't meet anybody off here. Will make more of an effort this year on that front. It's a good night to have banter with friends but not much else really, in my opinion.

Thursday night - I went to bed early for the first time ever last year. I couldn't be arsed hiking around trying to find some action.

Usually Wednesday night is a big chill session with mates, maybe pop out for some food but otherwise knackered and happy. 2013 however, was a night of "taking it steady " getting utterly w@nkered ending up for hours in the Beat Hotel and have G fun. Thursday thankfully was shit weather so we slept and chilled all day at the tent! Love it

Arrive, pitch, start drinking. Wander to eFests meet.. blabber for ages... get properly drunk wander off with some wastrels to the sturn surkle get twatted and more drunk.. at some point sneak into the tent... wake up, have a beer, some paracetamol and blearily sit around mumbling for a couple of hours... have a glass.. talk nonsense with wonderful silly people a while longer.. stumble off and wander in excelsis.. take in new things and changes.. get confused wander back have a wine.. wander out again take in some band or other.. meet friends.. talk profoundly..have a beer.. get obfuscated.. arrive in tent at indeterminate point. Wake up on Friday a bit sad that the best bit is over.

Not yet. There have been rumours of a beer wagon delivering but the local paper said that due to recent rain and flooding (through the roof) it would not be opening just yet. Other rumours say that the couple that were due to manage it refused to open it due to its disrepair. So in short...still waiting.

    • Based on previous times that rules quite a lot out of early summer festivals into the August runs.
    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
