Cheers all - In the last two days i've seen more to be excited about on this thread than the recent line-up additions announcement (probably says something about how the line-up is released nowadays, and how obsessive we all are). Yoda AV show and greg wilson is exactly the sort of thing i wanted added...

just need to re kindle this!

was at a talk featuring Greg Wilson last night and I asked him if he was at glastonbury this year, turns out he is playing Stonebridge, Genosys AND Beat Hotel across the weekend :)

Fill your boots disco people.

also proves just how much there is still to announce if you are a general fan of dj's / dance music

Great news, have tickets for night he's headlining @ 2020vision but looks like I will end up having to sell them.

Brilliant! Missed him last year and was hoping he'd be back. And agree, does show there's still some quality DJs to be added.

His Genosys set last year was one of my favourite glastonbury moments ever. You can listen too it here( if you haven't already).

Money For Rope are playing 2nd on the John Peel according to their manager after their Great Escape show last night. Can't remember what day though - we'd had a few drinks.

They're a lovely group of guys - really friendly and it was a great gig.

Oh good point haha. Their record label said they're playing though... So I'd say they're gonna be there haha

Someone mentioned Superfood were playing a while back (as they got added to the playlist). Would be interesting if they self-confirmed for the Thurs, I'm keen to know who's playing then.

Maybe Superfood are playing Williams green Thursday night? Although wouldn't quite be as big an act as we had last year with dry the river, Django & alt j, more likely to be an error.

Agreed with the person above about lonely the brave well happy about them being added not sure what slot more than likely and afternoon a lot on Williams green if guess

I think it was just an erroneous date; I imagine Superfood will be in the lower reaches of John Peel Stage. Lonely The Brave similarly around there too.

Addictive TV have just posted the following on FB:

Hi all! We can now officially announce we're playing Glastonbury Festival (official) 2014! We're playing the Shangri-La main stage at midnight on Saturday 28th June!

Then straight after on the same night, we're doing the main dance tent which is turning into a HUGE silent disco! And on Sunday at 3pm we perform Orchestra of Samples in the Greenpeace Dome!

Very happy about this, Mark Vidler aka Go Home Productions, does amazing mashups, and have heard good things about Addictive TV's AV show.

    • Yeah definitely this. Memorable past experiences include seeing Yo La Tengo at Cupra at night in 2022, or Beach House at the now defunct stage I forget the name of, or TV on the Radio at Cupra last year. A 2:30am Slowdive or Water From Your Eyes set would’ve been just the ticket
    • I want to chime in here and say that I think Simple Minds must be one of the more underrated bands of the 80s honestly. Empires & Dance and New Gold Dream are phenomenal albums. And two of my favourites of that decade in any genre.
    • Same, same. I am doing this for few years. Always works. There are some exceptions when the area completelly packed (i.e The XX this year), but even in this case it is much easier to walk from the right side.
    • You don't have to pay for an additional ticket but the front barrier at least is all controlled by security and a lot of people stay in there for the bigger acts so if you don't get there early enough you risk not being in there.   There is an option you can pay to have fast lane access priority which they suggest you arrive 30 minutes before a headline show but the first two sections are still even for them based on capacity. I did read that it's going very corporate and becoming too money money which I agree to an extent. There are points on the two biggest stages where not only accessing these bits is priority but dedicated quicker and direct access points for them too....but at €225 for the weekend I'm not sure I want to be pulled into that. I went with Three Days Grace, Linkin Park and Maiden being my must sees so I did what I had to for the latter 2 to get in to where I needed to. You do that too much though and it'll cost you your overall enjoyment of other bands there.   As an overall experience, it's definitely overrated to what I thought it would be. I will vouch for the food being decent.    The reason I haven't just gone in a bought too is because of the extra shipping fee and then selling it on if I didnt go. By QR code its easy to transfer like, but its a lot of money to commit that it might need selling later and to sell a ticket, £300 in fact. Hopefully they won't be the only festival to get Foos while not confirmed yet and Blink. But the Blink pulling power alone is there to be seen.
