CHRLY
Would roses be big enough to fulfill the expectation now hanging on the Saturday night spot?
CHRLY
It's a shame as people class Arcade fire and kasabian, in the same 'genre' because their music is not alike
plaskins
awh man, not cool if not Prince, then surely it's gotta be somebody, anybody, better than Elbow. it just can't have gone from 'three of the biggest acts in the world' to Kasabian and Elbow

CHRLY
I wouldn't class Arcade Fire as one of the 'three biggest acts in the world' either
Buff124
Straw clutcher here. Are we to believe that Prince's official twitter account denied the Glasto rumour - then deleted it ? Easy for someone to open a "@3rdeyegirI" account using capital i at the end. Use #prince and its out there. Prince has PurplePR Music representing him in the UK. Nothing on their Twitter account about it https://twitter.com/PurplePRMusic Edited January 20, 2014 by Buff124

UEF
Two anomalies then with last years headliners. OAPs trying to remember songs they'd written forty years ago. Public school boys with nits in their hair.

JBarbour
Correct me if wrong, not a big prince fan... But aren't 3rdeyegirl just a backing band he's toured with? Maybe they didn't get the memo or are simply not involved with his glastonbury headline slot. They have obviously been told to delete the tweet Edited January 21, 2014 by craigb
JGP
Surely with Kasabian being on the Sunday night we can't end up with Elbow as the Saturday night headliners. Huge anticlimax. I was expecting something pretty huge for Saturday. Led Zep/ACDC kind of level. Not bloody Elbow.

JGP
You were expecting Led Zep, and wonder why you were disappointed?
Trebor
Led Zep never said that. Robert Plant said that about his new band.

willutalk
Well Robert Plant at the Glastonbury Extravaganza means that Eavis is connected with a Led Zepp member so Led Zepp could seem more likely to play Glasto in future years. Although it doesn't mean at all that they will.

CaledonianGonzo
The folk longing for a return to a lower-key set of headliners to make Glastonbury less of a buzz event and tickets easier to come by might yet get their wish.
