Elton John has Nish, Nadda, Zero, Nufin. No Redeeming qualities whatsoever. I hate his music with an enduring passion. The man is a sad old coke head, Royal arse licking c**t His popularity forever mystifies me. I don't hate very much in this world, but he is an almost unique exeption. He has no place at the festival, because he can't sing, he can't write and the mediocrity of his piano playing is matched only by his appalling diminishingly poor output. Nothing he has released in the last twenty years warrants any attention whatsoever. If he were ever to play Glastonbury it would open the whole enterprise to ultimate ridicule, possibly leading to the demise of the whole phenomenon. Don't let it happen.

Pretty much a biblical fucking diss of galaxy-sized proportions.

Yeah?

Yeah?!

You hear that Elton?

Fuck off!

yup no way that would happen, they'd stick an indie band in there somewhere.

Elton

Swift

The Vaccines

Lionel

makes sense however ;)

Vaccines were third down in 2013 so reckon if they were to play they'd get the bump up to headliner. think they're more likely to do that at Reading/Leeds rather than Glastonbury though

as much as i want Swift to be there, my hopes of it happening are slowly fading. just can't see the biggest act in the world right now subbing. Glastonbury doesn't do huge subs

Nah I don't think Swift will be there either... was a nice thought though. maybe if they get stuck they'l throw money her way but I can't see it.

Vaccines have taken a hit a bit on their hiatus... don't see a lot of hype for their reunion even though it's supposed to be in a couple of months.

You're right though, I reckon they won't be at glasto this year and be exclusive for R&L

Hiatus? Reunion? They weren't even gone a year, and that was spent writing a new album. It'll change when they actually have chance to release something.

She's far from the biggest act in the UK though so I'd pin that as more likely than headlining. Though she has no reason to accept sub nor would she apparently be bothered about headlining so it's irrelevant.

Elton is in Cornwall at the Eden Project on Friday 26th June...it would be rude not to pop in on the way back home.

He's playing the 16th/17th unless there are new dates.

The Vaccines are not going headline......even if they hadn't slightly dropped to the "hiatus".

They didn't even sell out the o2 when they did it...

Whereas TDCC did IIRC, and didn't they play two nights there to The Vaccines' one? Going by that I don't see why The Vaccines would play higher up the bill than TDCC - unless the latter's return proved much less popular than the former's, but even then that'd probably be irrelevant for this year because they'll probably be sorting the slot for both before anyone sees how popular each record will be (see also Ed Sheeran and The Black Keys).
