MCR never said it was a farewell though. So no, it's actually nothing like Alexisonfire.

this is true, but they did say 'it has come to an end' - so deciding to reform two years later seems pretty absurd. just because Alexisonfire did people the favour of a farewell tour doesn't make their reformation any more silly, even if they did go back on it

It's a music band. Add MCR to the shitload of bands who have "split up" and then come back.

Put it this way. If anyone went to the AOF tour actually expecting them not to come back, they're not right in the head.

i get that bands always split and then reform, but two years really isn't a long time, especially as Gerard only released his solo album six months ago (and only finished touring this month it seems). wonder what changed!

also, i thought AOF would be gone for a lot longer considering the circumstances of their split (Dallas wanting to do only C&C, and then Wade joining Gallows)

Wooo. If it's MCR then R&L has gone to shit. It won't be so let's move on.

Haha, I doubt it, but if it actually was, you do realize that would be a huge booking as a sub yeah? The do have a undercard on that day in parts that match MCR but I am fully in the it won't be boat.

I think these days though, you can't really say for sure what's going to happen. Especially in a case like MCR where nothing really came out about any bitterness within the band. They've all gone, done their own thing, and now they've decided to go ahead and try again. Gerard Way sort of laid the foundations last year when he said he missed MCR. I'd imagine that there must have been a mutual feeling through the band.

    • I really like the Cheap Thrills! I saw them at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester in January at one of Chris Hawkins' "Awesome Friends" nights (which i think is why I even got tickets as it wasn't listed as a Cheap Thrills show!). Very good live and some great songs. I would've gone Saturday if I'd planned ahead!
    • They also seem to be in a mission to break the US with their new major label and this latest LP   Mid afternoon, live streamed on Disney+ is arguably a much bigger gig than Kendal Calling, if they had to skip one
    • This is massively exciting. I've been curious to who will be provide vocals for their live show and this is mega!
    • Seems to be getting reported as his only headline show in UK, I would say he's probably out BST now but can be on the Sunday teatime glasto slot or something
