I don't think that this changes anything really, they're around in London for Wireless and now Mutiny, their AMA on Reddit suggested that R&L was in the works and I still think we have nothing to suggested that the offer has fallen through. As for the whole 'be back over' I think it's a non-issue, although they're Australian, Rob and Gareth spend so much time in the UK I can see them playing in UK / Europe across summer.

But yeah, the only thing I can see stopping them from playing is CF.

Yes but spending all your time in the UK for festivals isn't a good idea and they'll be in demand in other places such as the US

I doubt they'll stay in the UK past September at the latest but I do think they'll stick around in the UK over the summer. They have been touring Australia pretty extensively since December ish, they're playing across South America and Asia this month have already announced 5 festivals in the US between early March and late May so I don't see huge demand possibly pulling them away from the UK in the summer.

You guys know he's not Jesus don't you?

Anyway, more evidence that Melvin is full of shit again. Even when it was something as safe as 'top 10 album in the past year' it managed to be false.

Who's not Jesus? Tourette? As he's definitely quite a lot like Jesus.

    • David Byrne’s obviously got a few hits to play, but he’s not cheesy enough for the Legend Slot. Other headliner perhaps?
    • Too good for the legends slot
    • We had a really good weekend this year. This was our 2nd year after giving it a go last year with 3 year old twins (we do Glasto but don't take the kids and have no plans to in the distant future!!).   Highlights of the weekend for me was Peter Hook & the Light, English Teacher, Flaming Lips, Adult DVD and Alex James (I get the karaoke thing but I still thought it was great). Missed loads of acts we wanted to see due to having two kids in tow but overall we left happy with what we managed to see across the weekend. Some great food vendors, good to see Steak Frites make an appearance this year, one of my faves from Glasto. Festival is really well run, toilets remained clean and stocked with loo roll all weekend, even on Sunday night/Monday morning. The walk from the cars is a ballache but it is what it is, arriving Thursday evening meant we were parked as far away as you could be.   My only gripe is that there seems to be a trend of parents letting their teenagers camp completely separately to them in family camping. We had a large group of 15-17 year olds near us who came home pissed up every evening at 3-4am being really loud and annoying! I get that it's a festival etc but I think it's taking the piss a bit letting your kids camp separately and disrupt everyone else.   All in all we had a really good time and are looking forward to next year.
    • Haha, was about to say! I'd def put more stock in the exit poll than a sh*t joke on Bluesky. Thanks for panicking me though. 😁
