What is? Luv?

I don't actually know if I live in Yorkshire or Lincolnshire at the moment. I drive past a "Welcome to North Lincolnshire" sign on the way to my house, but my address is South Yorkshire.

Nah Scunny is in Lincs and you always say you're from there so I was saying you weren't from Yorkshire.

Shit me I really want gravy now.

I'm meeting my auntie for dinner tomorrow and normally go to this pub where I can get gravy, but decided to go to a cafe instead tomorrow and I'm regretting it so much right now.

Bloody try-hard.

Ah okay, yeah I didn't know whether you meant me or "luv" haha.

No idea where I'm from. I live in the countryside between Donny and Scunny, and my address is Doncaster so I tend to go with Yorkshire.

Placebo should get on with headlining smaller events like Standon Calling or similar where it's an older crowd rather than hoping to slip into a middle billing on a major fest lineup or something, which isn't necessarily what they do but they haven't played any UK fests since Soni and R+L slots.

Placebo, The Cure (not for a while), Stereo Phonics, Manic Street Preachers etc aren't on R&L's dartboard anymore.

We've got to admit some alternative bands will be bumped up at some point.

BMTH

YM@6

The XX

Flo&tM

Then there's the new direction.

Kanye

Jay-Z

LMFAO

It's not like R&L could even bring back Kasabian like they did with Blink (LOL "booked after" was horse poop)

if you mean the two piece, congrats on being more irrelevant than R&L

If it's the expression, would rather Kanye to Metallica or Mumfords

Regardless; R&L hasn't changed much

It was a bit tongue in cheek. But they'd pull a Limp Bizkit sized afternoon crowd if they were booked, & still working together.

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
