I'm srs! Lok at da proof man!

They're not a sub at R&L, they'd be playing to a small crowd. I got really close to the front in 2013 (but then again the weather was extremely bad) and therefore would be a really weak sub

They played third down the last time and they'll be coming back with a new album, and SOAD subbed last time which is about as strong a sub as reading can get, so not sure you're right there

NIN

NIN weren't a strong sub for R&L, if you don't pull in the crowd and sell tickets (but then again most of the people who saw NIN may have bought tickets just for them) then you're not a strong sub, not matter how much I like the band. (No matter how I word this is something doesn't seem right, just gonna leave it)

Why does SOAD subbing have any bearing on Deftones subbing? SOAD were arguably a headliner when they subbed in 2013 and Deftones are no where near that now. Also the I'd have said the popularity has levelled off, they're not really pulling in many new fans and their new album (which no one has really heard much about) isn't going to catapult them into mainstream success (again). Finally just because you played a certain a one year doesn't mean you automatically have to play a higher slot than last time. It'd be better off for Deftones to sub Download and Soni and play their own shows but then again I think they really like playing R&L

But Corgan revealed that The Smashing Pumpkins have so far turned down offers to play UK festivals next summer, because they’ve been “disappointing”. Corgan said: “If we get the slots we want, we’ll come. But we’ve seen who else is on the bill, and we’re expected to go on before a band who have had one quasi-hit that’s not even that popular. Sorry, but that didn’t work for me in 1992 and it doesn’t work for me now. The funny thing is, the more that ‘Monuments…’ is kicking in, the more phone calls we’re getting. We’re getting calls asking for us, because they ain’t selling tickets. But how is it that The Smashing Pumpkins still sell tickets, but you’re offering me this poor slot? It’s disappointing.”

What about that suggests he's on about R&L?

    • Really well done, Primavera. Maybe the biggest name on the lineup as a surprise. (Ecpecially if Robert joins this)
    • There's one way it can get bigger- if Robert Smith joins her on stage
