I originally had LP and FOB on the Friday and Metallica and The Pumpkins on the Sunday, but if Metallica are in Europe early summer, as much as I want it to happen, I doubt they would come back over in August. I also had Alt-J subbing and Royal Blood third down, but I forgot about The Vaccines until today.

Is there any reason why people seem to be expecting Linkin Park? Why would they headline now, more than a decade since they last headlined and less relevent to the R&L than ever. Surely if they were gonna play anywhere it would be soni?

i used to say the same thing but after Blink being booked this year i don't think relevance has much to do with the headliners being booked anymore - more just who's around / willing to do it. as long as there was another big popular headliner in place (a-la Arctics) i don't think booking a totally out of the blue one would be too bad

If Skrillex played again, where would he be placed? Headlined NME already, pulled off headlining an open Other Stage at Glasto, so natural progression to main stage at R&L?

can't see him playing again due to his setup requirements (he's really a stage headliner or nothing), but if he did, sub main stage

Do FR realise that every post here regarding their festival in the last 2 years has been solely negative?

"Hey guys, go use the eFest forum where current discussions include "Linkin Park will probably headline because they're w*nk and shite like Blink was booked this year"".

somebody actually commented on that haha

"Referring to a site that dislikes the festival and a sub-forum that's less busier than this one?"

suppose they had to offer them something, and this is the closest thing they'll have to a proper R/L forum until the other one is back up
