WHAT?! Kasabian are great live, I saw them headline Reading last year and at V2010 and they were brilliant both times, really had the crowd going. And they were great on the pyramid in 2009 actually too. (It did r**n both times though...if they do come they better not bring any of that).

The Kasabian 'exclusive' thing is unlikely to be an issue. Clauses like that are put in to prevent potential punters choosing an alternative venue to see a band instead of the one with the exclusive.

This wouldn't be the case with Glastonbury, nobody is going to say "now they're playing Glasto I'll get a ticket for that instead of HRC" as you can't get Glastonbury tickets, and nobody's going to say "I won't bother with a HRC ticket now I know I can see them at Glasto" because as they're the same weekend nobody going to Glastonbury is a potential punter for HRC anyway.

If we were talkng about an event that still had tickets available and was a different weekend then yes, but Kasabain being announced as a last minute fill in at Glasto won't impact HRC's sales in any real way, because you can't choose one over the other.

Except I remember there was one guy on here a few months ago who was going to leave glasto for a day to head to HRC just to watch Kasabian and then come back to glasto. But I think that kind of behaviour is a rarity, especially for Kasabian. Someone like the Boss and you might find a few more of them

I don't like Mumford & sons, definitely don't think they are a headlining act at all - be interesting to see who might take their place, tho with plenty of other things going on I'm not that bothered.

Don't see who could do it aside from Kasabian if they really struggled for a 3rd headliner in the 1st place. Also don't see who else on the Sunday bill could be promoted to pyramid headliner that would satisfy the locals - the xx are barely big enough for the Other stage so surely there's no chance they'd be promoted?

I think a couple of people have tried to make the point that they are hypocrites or should be embarrassed about the fact that they have a song called 'I Will Wait' and yet may be preparing to play a gig without one of their members who is recovering from surgery (and thus not waiting).

I was looking forward to Mumfords the most over Glastonbury. My favourite band of all time (cue abuse).

Really hope that they play and if worst comes to worst, they get a session musician in to take Ted's place.

    • I'd definitely consider a Blink/BMTH/FNM headline trio. If they can get Edguy over for one of their last shows, it'd probably seal the deal.
