Another one I saw kicking around somewhere in the lineup was the Urban Voodoo Machine. Saw them at Bestival, some dirrrrrrty blues-inflected swing-ish swamp boogie, heaps of musicians, some in.... eclectic attire. And some very funny lyrics.

I've managed to completely avoid Dinosaur Jr until now, despite seeing them on countless lineups since I've been doing festivals. Looking forward to them, baring any clashes.

Edit: actually, if that poster if at all accurate, then it looks like they are going to clash with either Dizzee, Primal Scream or Smashing Pumpkins. Sorry Dinosaur Jr

every year i get a note book and listen to EVERY band from A-Z and mark them out of 6 ......6 being we will watch them ..works for me found some good bands using this silly method ...

will be starting the list soon i suppose cos theres quite a few actually theres loads of bands ive never heard of lol

you could use this thread to put vids of some of the new bands on .....just an idea old sons

Josephine is going to be on the park stage. Went to see her last night having first seen her support Rodrigo Y Gabriela. She has an amazing voice. Also, being a local girl from Cheetham Hill in Manchester I'll definitely be going along to support her. Her album is lovely from start to finish.

You're doing yourself a horrendous disservice if you willingly miss Dinosaur Jr., their show in Manchester this February was fantastic, not the best stage performance I've ever seen, but in terms of sound they were incomparable to anything else I've ever heard.
