Local Natives are a fantastic band. saw them at Leeds '10? and they were brilliant live. had a really early slot but were easily one of the best bands of the weekend for me. new album isn't as good as the first but i'll still try my best to check them out

Jagwa Mar are another one i'm excited to see live. haven't heard much but i love their baggy throwback sound

Vintage Trouble are very good, like what I hear from First Aid Kit too. I know he's not new but I caught the end of Maverick Sabre at Bingley and was very impressed, not what I thought it would be. Daughter are pretty good from what I've listened to as well.

Thank you all, have added The Strypes, Vintage Trouble, Local Natives and others to my list.

Half Moon Run sounds interesting:

And can I agree with above, First Aid Kit are really good live, there must be a good chance they will play elsewhere, not just The Pyramid, I hope.

Loving that Vintage Trouble track! Definitely on my list to check out, clashes permitting.

Also, thanks to whoever pointed out Jagwar Ma - seems like pretty decent stuff.

So far, others that I'd recommend (that I think may have been mentioned in this thread already):

Melody's Echo Chamber

Goat (we all seem to be loving this!)

The Child of Lov

Toro Y Moi (not been nearly enough talk about this guy!)

    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
