I'm not a huge fan of the Arctics, but I'd like to see them headline, they've got more energy and life than say, KOL, they not of pension age like some of the other names being chucked about, yeah, you know what? fuck it, give them a shot, think that would be a good thing.

never mind the quality of their music and performances, that doesn't matter at all. no, what is important is what is the boy Turner's hair like at the moment? if it's sensible, early era Arctics, then good, lets have them headline.

if however he's grown it long again, or, heaven forbid, he's still displaying that awful 50s throwback nonsense (with equally bad clothes), then i'm sorry. one has to draw a line somewhere. only the Fonz gets away with that shit.

Yeah, Alex Turner used to come across as a really nice guy, down to earth, kind of shy on stage, overwhelmed and humbled by the massive fame he'd stumbled into. Then he turned into a prick. His band is great though

Their homecoming gigs in Sheffield last year were incredible. Bringing A Certain Romance back as a one off to end both those gigs was a nice touch.

Since they last headlined, they've released their best album (in my opinion) in Humbug, and their post-Suck it and See songs (Evil Twin, R U Mine?) are brilliant. If their next album sounds anything like those tracks (which they've said it will) then I'm expecting a cracker.

They're better than the likes of Kings Of Leon and The Killers, but there are better options for Glastonbury this year.

Also, I'm going to Leeds and not Glastonbury, so I'd rather see them headline R&L next year. :)

I am not a massive fan of the band to be honest, I can take or leave them. If they were to headline I'd be completely indifferent to the news and would probably be elsewhere. I'd much rather Arcade Fire if I am honest.

You mean the album that left everyone even more stone cold dead live then? ;)

I feel weird about them, I didn't like Humbug but liked Suck It and See and the them extra songs they release (R U Mine?) are belters! ...But everytime I see footage, I am just bored by them live, i dunno what it is that they can't seem to put a show together live anymore. I'd really like if they came along and surprised me though, I really really want to like them live :P

By the sounds of it their R&L shows were some of their worst by far. I agree they were crap at Leeds that year, and Glastonbury 2007 sounds like they were a bit disappointing but they were only a young band and probably were still a bit thrown at being headliners.

But last year at T I thought they were fantastic, seemed to actually enjoy themselves and had a bit of charisma and stage presence. They're very tight musically but it just seems to depend on their mood. I had a listen to all their albums recently and forgot they they actually are pretty damn good. Might watch them at if they played but certainly wouldn't be disappointed if they were announced.

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
