I'd be really happy for Arctics headlining. I've seen them 3 times, so it cuts down the amount of headliners i'd want to see on the day as I don't need to see Arctics again.

Id be very happy, love them and the only chance ive had to see them is their lowest point of their careers with the Reading 2009 headline set. I want to see if they're actually any good live so I'll be there.

Not a headliner that excites me at all but, as mentioned, gives perfect opportunity to go somewhere else - and is probably at the cheaper end of the spectrum, leaving some good cash for other headliners.

Just found a ticket stub from 2007 arctic monkeys at Lancashire cricket ground support was super grass the coral , Amy Wine house and a japenese Beatles tribute band the parrots it was a truly brilliant performance , Leeds 2009 wasn't so good but I think it was because people were not so familiar with the slower new direction

yeah their Reading / Leeds performances definitely had an air of 'we're so cool we don't even have to try' about them, along with some form of substance intake. that act can work for some bands, but not for Arctic Monkeys

If there is nothing else amazing on whilst they are on, then yeah, I'll give them a try. They've got a few songs that I like and would be good to have a bit of a leap about to for a bit.

Saw them a few times when they had real passion. Last time i saw them was at glastonbury, was a real mess of a show, looked like kids on the first time their band played the school hall. Imagine dizzee rascal was good though if you were there, yep, imagine.

I saw them in January this year and they were great. Definitely improved in leaps and bounds on this previous album tour in their live shows. I would be keen to see them at Glasto.

Could be the perfect time for them to do it again- before an album like killers at various festivals this year. Hopefully new songs will be kept down to 2-3 like the killers did at V, with a spread of songs from all albums.

The Sheffield setlist from 2011 shows they bring in some lesser played songs for special occasions like a certain romance and Mardy bum so it they do it right they'll pull it off.

Personally it depends on the other headliners if I actually watch them, the rumours of stones and radiohead especially would mean 3 potential pyramid headliners and arctics unfortunately would be the one to go.

Peter, they're one of my favourite bands, and I saw them at one of their best received gigs (Don Valley Bowl). They were good, but they are absolutely nowhere near being one of the best live acts in the world. That's ludicrous.

Never seen them and always by there albums! I just always think ill get to see them at a festival and have never gone to one where they are! Only started into 2010 with Leeds so i just missed them!

Happy that they might be headlining Glastonbury, will make it rather exciting to see them play on such a big stage for my first time seeing them!

They're my favourite band, seen them lots of times (double figures), their gigs are always my favourite, but if I was thinking rationally, they aren't the best live act in the world.

They are to me, because I adore them so much, but they aren't. Make sense? Probably not.

When and where did you see them, when ive seen them they were brilliant, there actually one of the best live bands in Britain and possibly the world.

Seen the Arctic Monkeys twice, but both times have left me a bit underwhelmed. Both were big venue gigs though (Old Trafford, Echo Arena).

Imagine they would have been better in the smaller venues, but doubt I would do to see them as headliner, so would either use it as excuse to see someone else on smaller stages or go visit the late night areas without crowds (Muse in 2010 provided that as absolutely no one had any interest on in any stage).

Seen them 3 times, twice at nottm arena, both good and once at don valley sheffield (in a festival tent basically).
