Was thinking about this earlier. I've got a feeling they're going to blow it and it'll be a damp squib like last time. Hope not, but can see it happening. They've not got enough proper big smashers to pull it off. Good band, just not right for this gig.

I can't stand 505, proper shite tune...

Gotta hope that Black Treacle, Teddypicker (back) and A Certain Romance get added, I'd be more than Happy if Brick By Brick got dropped, i think it's an awful tune imo!

A Certain Romance was an incredible closer at Don Valley Bowl, but they did say they were bringing it back specially, just for those shows, so I doubt whether they'd play it at Glasto. If You Were There, Beware looked like a great closer at the Apollo from the DVD. Other than that, when they opened the encore at Don Valley with When The Sun Goes Down, I remember thinking it would have been a brilliant closer, really felt like the end of a gig. Would be cool to bring that back specially for Glasto to close.

The set list is aimed at an American audience not a British festival crowd.

Personally would love to see them open with dancing shoes then straight into Brianstorm

Encore -suck it and see, a certain romance, when the sun goes down.

I was a the Apollo and whilst it was an incredible gig, it's probably the most underwhelming set closer I've seen them do.

Anyone else think that Dizzee coming on for Temptation would be a bit too obvious and meh? The only time they've done it before was at Glasto, it's gonna end up being some sort of lame tradition.

I hope, for the UK tour (which I've decided is happening in October, including a night in Nottingham for just 20 pounds), they end the main set with 505 > That's Where You're Wrong then go Sun Goes Down > Teddy Picker > A Certain Romance for the freaking sweetest encore ever.

Really? The entire Apollo DVD sounds shit anyway so it's probably not the best idea to use it to judge, I suppose. One of my favourite songs of theirs too, so I'm probably a little biased. That run of Do Me A Favour > This House Is A Circus > If You Were There, Beware on Favourite Worst Nightmare is brilliant.

???

I don't think that's how most non fans would describe them  A band that is a lot better on record (excluding Humbug) than live.

A shame but I am debating in my head to, if they will manage to do get it right this time ..from footage and setlists with that massive meh at the end and middle .. I'm not sure they will. I'd like them to..but I can't see it

    • Geese playing for 1:20 instead of just an hour was a lovely surprise. The energy was great!
    • Oh well that's why then, I assumed it was still the same. Thanks!
