I made a spotify playlist of the set played in Denmark, including the new song. Have to say it seems to work perfectly. I find myself not really liking the songs from the original album now, for me they have matured perfectly with my musical tastes, maybe because I am the same age but I think they sound better now than ever.

the problem with Reading 09 was that they played 7 new songs and a b-side. If they opened with Do I Wanna Know? (which has been largely well-received so far) I don't think there'd be an issue.

On a personal note: ditch 505 and add Mad Sounds. But not to close the set.

Wouldn't ditch 505 entirely if i was them, just wouldn't give it the task of finishing their set. Kinda suited the moodier and darker humbug tour but should be used more sparingly in that role these days. I'm unrealistically hoping they drop Do me a Favour, think that's gone well past its sell by date, in a live sense anyway, Secret Door would be a far better option to lower the tempo in my opinion.

After a few more listens i'm starting to gel to the idea of them opening with the new track, as long as a few big hitters are following it.

Someone suggested that they might do Come Together like they did at the Olympics last year. Would be good.

Reckon A Certain Romance is a shoe in. Haven't been playing it but you'd think they'll give it an outing.

i reckon they'll do a certain romance. as the closer. 505 doesn't work at big festivals. they should end on a high.

would love to hear:

my propeller

that's where you're wrong

if you were there, beware

a certain romance

library pictures

do me a favour

all my own stunts

not holding out much hope for the majority of them, though.

wtf are they playing 'old yellow bricks' for?

That'd be my dream scenario, never going to happen though.
