Volts is the potential difference of 2 different points, it doesnt go up depending on how much is electricity is being used.

It would make more sense to say how much current is being pulled or how much watts (electrical power) is being used.

Sorry Im being pedantic, but being an electrician its a bit of a bug bearer

Strange! When you say the other stage field...I started imagining it being set up and put down in the middle of the stage area? :S

Could mean the toilets/camping go...and just in front of the dance village as a new sort of entrance? (Would make sense if it was other that way, as it fits with the previous reports.)

It sounds like a good idea, will split the crowds and maybe alot of the crowd won't feel the need to bother heading other to the "naughty corner" if there something big and obvious right by the mainstages...then straight back to camp for most I'd imagine!

Can't wait to see how packed the thursday show is!

I believe that it'll be to the side of the glade of trees where the Glade stage has been in recent years, sort-of-behind the curve of stalls that face towards the Other Stage itself.

I think this is potentially a good idea, just trying to figure out where it will go.

Looking at this, I wonder if they'll cut some or all of the camping toward the Dance Village and if so will they add any more elsewhere?

Just finished work and seen this great news.

They are going to need a bigger area. Thursday night there will be 80000 people there.

Could they combine the Arcadia stage with the mixing desk of the Udder Stage so that whole field can be used as one arena in the round after the bands finish?

can we also please have a second brothers bar nearby to complete the experience?

This will make great use of a bit of a waste of space, I am looking forward to it!

it's not be4en wasted space there in previous years, it's been the site for stuff to do with The Glade.

So it looks pretty likely that The Glade has gone, tho I'm far from certain about that.

Although I have no idea where it will be, I would have thought the Glade area was too small, far smaller than the area where it used to be, and the front of the Glade is a walk through between the Other Stage and West Holts, erc. And there are a lot of trees!

I would think they would be better off putting it right at the back of the Othger Stage where the camping currently starts. There's lots of space there, and it would look pretty cool on Tv when you see Arcadia in the distance when the cameras look out towards the crowd when a band is playing the other stage, even if it hasnt started up then. And its close to the Dance Village which I think would create a good vibe

Can't wait to be there Thursday night, Arcadia has not been open on the Thursdays before and would make for a fun start to the festival

The last couple of years, there's been a couple of biggish bars/tent things just along from the actual Glade bit (I mean the sort of clearing in the trees) further along towards the ramp up to the old railway track. Or I suppose it could go where the ill fated 'spirit of 71' stage was?

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
