Arcadia have told us that a press release is due this week - which should include its new location. I'll leave that for them to announce.

What I've also heard - tho I'm not sure if it's true or not - is that Arcadia will run for only 3 hours each day, after the bands have finished, and that it won't include any live acts this year.

Is it ever busy while the rest of the stages are on? I left Beyonce after twenty minutes and went straight there and it was pretty dead. Granted, they were just rehearsing the Spider show, but anytime I've wandered by during the afternoon or evening it still seems quite quiet. Maybe 3 hours after the main stages finish is really all that it needs?

sounds like it'll be like BoomTown set up then - I don't remember any live acts there either just low key DJs sets, then bigger name DJs and a big main show a few hours long with actors, dancers, lights, pyro and the like - plus that mushroom crowd at the end!.

Saw the Fire Tornado at Bestival and it was pretty darn cool!

The rig they used at Boomtown was fantastic, being able to dance right underneath the DJ pod in the middle. It's a shame that they are only running for 3 hours Fri/Sat/Sun though.

Additional - Did you know…

· All Arcadia structures are created from 99% scrap materials

· Arcadia are encouraging Michael Evis to provide methane from his cows for the flame effects.

· The lords of Lightning show uses 4,000,000 volts of electricity (topped by 4,700,000 hits on a recent youtube hit)

· Arcadia’s Bug Stage was in the Olympics closing ceremony 2012

I think this is great, Arcadia was always mental down in the SE corner, even when the other areas were quiet, so this should hopefully have the added benefit of splitting the crowds and with more room in the Other stage field, more people will be able to enjoy the Arcadia show.
