Here ish I think by what Neil has said.

The Chai Wallahs tent was down at in Block 9 i think, but there was a Chai Wallahs looking tent near the Glade though.

But yep, it's where I was m3aning, and where I think arcadia will go.

Even without Chai Wallahs and some of the other food places, is there as much space here as in the old field? Or are they really just hoping that it will spill back for miles into the Other Stage field?

there's moret space in that area as there was where arcadia was in 2010. I can't say about 2011, as i didn't bother with the queues.

Depends on they set up, where the backstage etc goes..

I have the impression it would be so crowds could spill into the other stage field proper...if they are advertising a Thursday night party!

I remember the Glade getting worryingly full about 10 years ago,there was a bit of a crush,God knows what's gonna happen if everybody goes on the Thursday

There's no way that Arcadia can go where the actual Glade stage is, it's way to big in it's spider form. Surely it will have to encroach on the Other stage field a little bit otherwise they would have just said it's replacing the Glade.

the stage was under the trees, but the area itself extended a fair way into the Other field.

So I'm guessing that this time round the Arcadia structure will be in about the middle of that other space, leaving under the trees and around the structure for dancing.

depending how stalls are laid out, there's the potential for the crowd to spread into the other stage field proper.

However Glasto are doing it, I'm sure they've covered the space needs.

i think its a very clever move. Your gonna get at least all the peeps heading over from the other stage when that closes plus all the peeps who come that way when the pyramid closes. that should hopefully mean an end to the stupid one way system and the crushes.

I think Arcadia will change more from a full on rave zone to more of an attraction for the passing crowds. By that i mean it will still be amazing but theres gonna be a lot of peeps who see it for the first time and be amazed by the fire shows and stay and watch. the same peeps arnt probably interested in the late night areas and have never being over to the SE corner. I think the vibe will change somewhat

Is this not getting a bit too close to the village thus further sound restrictions? It was too quiet last time in the naughty corner (more of a chat with your mates volume) which killed it somewhat

I think Arcadia has eaten itself....too many people turn up to that festival now just for the late night naughty corner with little interest in what's going on throughout the rest of the site...as such it's become heavily populated/overcrowded at night, which in turn has led to the organisers moving the star attraction away from it to ease congestion.

I also think the Thursdat night opening is another reaction to the many, many more people who are now on site from Wednesday AM onwards and looking for some form of 'entertainment'
