Looking now if it wasn't for System I could get a day ticket for Sunday and be pretty happy. I was hoping for some bigger names on the Dance stage like Madeon and Netsky but obviously with having to book so many extra acts it seems as though they couldn't afford them. Lock Up is okay, albeit again smaller it seems. Festival Republic has pretty weak headliners but a reasonably good undercard; although all the bands I'd like to see are probably clashing with bands on Main/NME at the same time. The Rock stage is a neat idea; there are some great bands on there but again I reckon I'll have some bad clashes (ASIWYFA/NIN) where Main/NME will win out. The lower half of main stage just looks like a cost-cutting exercise.

In conclusion I think adding so many new stages has diluted the line-up by some degree.

And a clashfinder is here:

Well I like it and I'm definitely not in denial. I haven't bought a ticket yet so its not like I'm even trying to justify a purchase.

Barely any indie landfill that's filled up the majority of line ups post 08.

NME is shit but ill be at main or lock up like I am most years anyway, so doesn't really make a difference to me.

Who thought of clashing Alkaline Trio with Green Day? The only two punk(ish) bands headlining all weekend.

Unfortunate that Jim Jones revue and Funeral for a friend look like they will clash with nine Inch Nails, wouldn't have minded going to see them.

Hopefully i'll manage to watch Quicksand without them clashing with Deftones.

Going through the lineup checking out acts I haven't listened to much. The Lumineers, Hadouken! and We Are The In Crowd being the first three. Each one worse than the last (and it didn't start off very good). Hopefully I'll discover some more decent acts lower down.

As an aside, We Are The In Crowd are Paramore, right? Never heard two bands sound so alike.

just got back and saw the announcement. truly depressing. plus how they can justify that Shikari sound system on the "rock stage" has me stumped. sure they will be playing instruments but dub-dance-bullshit type thing cmon at least put it on the fucking dance stage where it would be better suited.

deffo not getting a weekend ticket now, would rather wait to see NIN hopefully if they do a proper tour next year, and already seen biffy so that can be missed. saturday can fuck right off on the whole so maybe a day ticket for the friday and even thats unlikely.
