I can see why a lot of regulars in particular think it's shitty, in comparison to a lot of the lineups in past years, but at the same time it's refreshing to see a change. I guess cause last year was my first it's different for me, not having the memories of insanely good lineups etc.

Although the day Paramore headline will be the day the real shit hits the fan

I don't think its just musical taste that is making people on here think its a weak line up.

Most of the bands announced are playing in smaller venues, have sold less albums and have had less musical output than bandswho have played in the past. Doesn't mean they are worse obviously, but it does make the line up look like its not as strong as previous years.

Is the NME stage complete?

Not one band on there for me at the mo.Which is a shame as the last couple of years the NME has come up with some gems like Mastodon,Mark Lanagan,The Hives,Glassjaw and Death from above 1979.

I think this year has something for everyone, I mean, Main Stage (apart from C&S and Eminem) is a pretty typical R+L rock/punk lineup (grrr fuck The Lumineers), NME is weak at the top for those who listen to that kind of stuff (I know a lot of people who listen to 'that kind of stuff'), but has some gems lower down like Frightened Rabbit and Kodaline. Dance Stage generally not my thing, but the Friday has Clean Bandit and Fenech-Soler so I'll probably be there for those two sets at least, but can't comment on much else there. FR stage with not much for me, but, like the Main it's quite a typical FR stage lineup. Overall quite balanced and pretty strong IMO.
