Inevitably going to split opinion with a lineup like that.

I'd be way more excited about Green Day if I hadn't seen them last year :/

even so Nine Inch Nails, Brand New are incredible additions, Editors, City and Colour and Twin Atlantic as well.

Whether you like them or not there are several very big acts in that announcement.

Asap Rocky, top of the hip hop game at the moment sold out dates at Brixton later in the year and as much as I don't care for Skrillex he is huge.

The lack of Yeah Yeah Yeahs is quite glaring, I think it's clear the booking strategy was ... we wont have them if they aren't in last weeks NME or an exclusive.

the lineup is very 'early / mid 2000's' but fuck it, that's when the festival sold best and for nostalgia's sake i think it's bloody brilliant. NME headliners are pretty pish (Phoenix are good but i can't see the R/L's crowd going for them at all, the other two are just w*nk)

maybe i'm overexcited by NIN and Brand New being on there so will wait for the proper announcement later before i give my real judgement. i'm sure i'll notice a load of shite on there and decide that i hate it

shit i didn't even notice City & Colour. seriously, if this had been a lineup like three years ago i would be having a seizure on the floor right now with excitement. i won't be rushing to get a ticket any time soon but i may well snatch one up last minute (if there are any left)

So from comments, I've established that the line up to "current" and also to early 2000s at the same time? :P

As usual it's mix of bands that are actively touring around the time Reading is on...be they older and current bands!

The only day that doesn't work for me is Friday until SoAD which cancels anything bad on the friday out :P

I'll reserve judgement until the rest of the NME/Radio One is announced and we get the Lock Up and FR but for an initial announcement that's pretty poor for me.

I'd be interested in Green Day again but nothing really screams that I have to by a ticket, and choosing between Eminem and Alt-J or Biffy and Phoenix at this point are terrible situations to be in.
