I'm disgracefully bad at actually going into book stores instead of just ordering off amazon. I manage to make the effort for indie music stores nowadays, but not with books.

I saw a post mentioning "late night entertainment" at R&L in another thread and it made me think I'll be very surprised if there's not the development of actual late night entertainment in the near future, i.e not propaganda silent discos but Bestival/Glastonbury esque.

I think R&L have realised their greatest threat in their key demographic is somewhere like Bestival which offers actual late night stuff. Glastonbury is too stereotyped for many first time goers, but I think Bestival has built itself a reputation as a young peoples festival, and R&L will look to counter it.

Bjork came up in one of my Education lectures the other day, the concept of Biophilia was brought up and the lecturer asked, "Does anybody know which singer brought out an album called Biophilia?" I was the only person in the lecture hall who knew. I owe my only lecture input to you, time ;)

Definitely not. Thing about books, is almost everyone is a customer, there's very few people who manage to get away in life (in the 1st world) without buying at least a couple of books a year. Also, there may be millions of people wanting digital books, in the same way millions of people buy MP3 singles but there's always going to be the big physical industry, i.e. CDs and the specialist, i.e. Vinyl. The music industry has proven that. People are always going to want something to hold.
