That's the bands I saw Friday, decent but nowt phenomenal. Wouldn't have bothered with any of them (except KoL) at their own shows. Probably Sparta if they were ever local.

Problem with Sunday is that LCD clashed with Pumpkins and NIN. There wasn't a lot earlier in the day Sunday, whereas Saturday I had clashes from 1pm right through.

Agreed though, I reckon the lower slots in '08 and '09 are much worse. I think it's largely that VCK likes to moan about the '07 lineup and everyone else just goes along with him. :P

They're still a rumour on the line-up page though, even though Blur have been removed, surely if Neil has them down as TBC for Glasto he should have removed them by now :(

I wouldn't even mind at all if they didn't play, but my hopes keep getting up

I knew the answer from you would be on the positive side, same with a very few other posters.

All the others are just on the bandwagon and probably dont own A single legal version of there albums.

Yeah the Lock Up was pretty bad too that year and they clashed the Pumpkins with The Hold Steady. But there's about 10 bands that played that I love and most haven't played since, I'd be lucky if there were ever that many again in one year. There's usually many bands I like, but not love.

I really didn't like the 2008 line up, so decided not to go. Looking back the NME stages were god awful, except one or two.

I'm working on building up a CD collection at the moment, but CDs are really expensive, I had this debate the other day, and it's not plausible for someone like me to buy all their CDs.

And as I'm only 17, I've only been into NIN for a couple of years, so I didn't get their CDs on release or anything, do love them though, definitely reckon I was born a few years too late

    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
    • Has Glastonbury already got council permission for that 5 year run?
    • This keeps being mentionned but it only happened because Dua's Europe Tour was rescheduled due to Covid. Dua's arena show was initially planned for October 2021 but got rescheduled to May 2022 a month after the PS2022 lineup was announced.   I hope Massive Attack and Doja get to come back. I guess it'll depend whether they have a summer tour planned next year.
    • Solo album on the way for the singer of a certain band.  Il leave the name of the act out and see if anyone listening can guess....  its er rather obvious lol
